Im opposed to any more big brother involvement. FWIW I only hunt public and have multiple spots. Leases are great when you have birds but other than that feel like a waste of money.

In PAC they have pirogue only areas, 25hp and under areas, and anything goes areas. Doing this allows everyone to hunt areas they choose based on mode of transportation. My 35hp Gatortail does no more damage than a 25hp longtail or surface drive.

it ain't about the damage.. it's about the pressure on previously lightly pressured areas.

take the prairie at manchac.... was once one of the best areas in LA.....

habitat now is actually BETTER than it was years ago....MUCH less birds... and the exodus started with the rise in popularity of mud motors...

nothing against mud motors.. but they send an awful lot of people into places they wouldn't have gone before...

yeah... years back people that deer hunt prime WMAs(primarily bow hunters).. wanted more involvement from LDWF.. and they ended up with lotteries during prime rut times.....

every since the duck season went back to long seasons and big limits.. the a-hole factor has increased each year...

ducks have changed and so has duck hunting...

New rule #1 all duck hunters must pass a duck calling test before being allowed to bring their 55 duck calls onto public land. This rule shall espcially apply to all the robertson family wanna bes that hunt PAC highballing for 6 hours straight at every coot or dos gris in the land.

I am in favor of outlawing motor access in certain WMAs. I like how PAC divides it up. I always hunt the pirogue access area.

But I need motor in Indian Bayou, but to me, the area is big enough for that.

Boeuff - I only use pirogue
Union - I only use pirogue
Dewey Wills - I use boat/motor

Man, where the hell do y'all hunt public land? I don't want big brother in my business, they're known to mess shite up... I have never had a problem on the WMA by me when I hunt it.

Sometimes you need to wear your flak jacket to pearl river with everyone there.

I've been to pearl a couple of times. The only problem I have had is getting up and launching early early to beat the crowds, but hey if thats what I have to do to bust a few ducks so be it.

Restrictions on ease of access would limit children, handicapped and elderly participation which will lower duck stamp sales, not gonna happen.

I think its more of an issue of young hunters going out there and squelling calls and sky blasting.

Yeah that annoys us hunters. Nobody was born knowing how to blow a duck call and it's alot more fun learning in a blind than in a truck cab. I'm also sure everyone tries to stretch a shot now and then when it's slow.WL&F don't mind if they squawk and skyblast, as long as they're buying licenses and stamps and paying taxes on the ammo and calls then they're supplying revenue.

I just got on a lease in Klondike. Do you mind if I get your e-mail? I'm curious if you know the guy I am leasing from, and if you can tell me if he is trying to screw me or not.

Who is it? Also in a lease in Klondike. You will pay through the nose for a blind over there.

Depends on the area. I paid $2000 for my seat in a 4 man blind in Klondike and that is a pretty decent deal believe it or not
