Ours too. Despite being on public land, there were not very many hunters. But there were not many teal either.

Best teal season we have ever had, at both ends of the state we hunt. pretty good season overall, just didnt have the time to hunt enough.

Well I am asking bc I have only hunted a handful of public lands in the state. All have major overcrowding issues. The one and only option I can come up with I am not even sure I like it. Pretty much divide the area up into blocks or sections and have the hunters draw for them. Maybe do that with certain areas of the WMA then leave the rest open to everyone, similar to how they run Sherburne and the farms.

I agree. It's better to have a few good hunts than several that are f'd up do to excessive hunters. Of course, I have a lease so I win either way.

Don't get me started on them. I had a guy pull in the middle of a canal I was huntin at daylight in a blue bass tracker anchor out in the dead center, throw out 3 decoys and proceed to sky blast.

Next time carry a slug with you. When he shoots put a shot in his motor then roll out.

I hunted probably ~25 days and ~20 of them were a waste of my time

I just avoid hunting public land. Not worth it anymore. My time is too precious to f$%k with all these d-bags. No hunting etiqutte either. We have invited people to hunt with us many times. Often times, we became friends and hunts were reciprocated. Now it's like some sorta competition. Glad i can afford private land and hate it for those that can't. Lottery system would help.

Will also be taking advantage of all the public land around me as well. Stupid not to with as much good land around as there is especially since I can do it on the weekdays when its not so crowded.

Lottery systems suck, but if you put one in place for out of state hunters it would probably ease the pressure on public land. Ever try to get an elk tag in a western state. Its a bitch if you dont bribe some public official.
