Anyone taking advantage of the short ATF approval times?

For individuals.
My first can (300blk) took 54 days. Now they're getting approved in less than 2 weeks, occasionally in hours.
I'm 24 hours into a .22 can wait and I'm being impatient.

Don't get your hopes up too much. From what my dealer said, only some people are getting quick approvals. Others are still stuck with long wait times.

Lots of folks getting quick approvals on the reddit nfa approval thread

Good to see another from the “week of sadness”. I submitted 3/14, patiently waiting.

If anyone wants to jump in the silencer game I have $500 in SilencerCo gift cards that I am trying to sell. I posted about it on here a couple months ago.

Are people filing as individuals just for the fast turnaround? Waiting on mine that's a trust. I would rather have the trust and to wait a bit.

I’m the opposite. I have several already in a trust. Next ones I will probably do individual. Don’t feel like having to get prints and photos done from everyone in trust because we haven’t added anything since they added those requirements for trust

My first one took a solid year.
Filed for two more last week through my Trust. Not expecting anything soon as I was told average wait times are 220 days. If it happens, I will be pleasantly surprised.

If SS had some in stock I wanted I definitely would purchase.
I want 2 more Rimfire cans for the kids and another .30 for myself.

Seems that way. The ATF Appears to be prioritizing individual over trusts.

I'd roll the dice if the trusts were getting 10 day Form 4s but for now I'm going to hold off. My last two were both 7-8 months.

There are some fast trust approvals coming in too now I think. At first it was just individuals.

I’d order one right now if SS had what I wanted in stock

I don’t know what the deal is. Bought another .30 cal and 22 silencer co from Simmons in November ‘22. The 22 stamp cleared last summer. Still waiting on the other.

Let's say that I bought a suppressor as an individual. How much of a hassle to transfer it into my trust later?

Pay another $200, but other than that it’s the same process except you would still be and to use it because you already own it.

I get each item set up in a single-item trust, that way I can add trustees by having them sign a couple forms in the presence of a notary. No extra background checks on fingerprints and no forms to submit to anyone.
It’s all horseshite but I think this is the easiest and most convenient, at least for me.

Another 200 besides the original 200 tax stamp?
