I had one in the freezer at a buddy's camp and it somehow got thrown out. I have a hen in my freezer at home, and I want to get a pair done. I've actually been saying I would get a pair done for years, but this year I finally decided to actually do it. Thanks in advance.

I'd probably just try again next year....and not trust a potential mount to a "buddy".

Just wouldn't feel right knowing the duck on the wall isn't the one I killed.

Yeah I thought about that, but then again I've killed 100s of woodies so I just didn't think it was a big deal. Now with a deer or turkey you couldn't pay me to put one that someone else killed on the wall. I'm not sure why, but I just feel completely different about this situation. Maybe I'm just being impatient and would regret it.

I'd lie. Every year I say I'll save a pair and this year I actually try to do it and it doesn't workout. Oh well, maybe next year I can try and hunt that roost you built.

I got one that flys into hole in a tree every night in back yard. I can throw out some Choirboy call and let you borrow my daughters pink daisy red rider.

If you know of a secluded beaver pond this is the time of year to sneak out there and get you one. People will think you are turkey hunting when they hear a shot or two. The birds will be much more colorful and you might even get lucky and down a pair of full plume Blue Wing Teal.

I wonder how it got thrown out? You need to take it home with you and not leave it at some camp all year. They probably cleaned out the camp at the end of the season and said, "Damn that Dylan, he put this fricking duck in here back in November. He ain't gonna do shite with it... throw it out."

I actually do. I kept it with plans to mount it but changed my mind. I've since used it a few times to train my dog, so it's not in the best condition, but you can have it

It took way longer than I estimated for someone to acknowledge that little post.
