If you're in Louisiana you can support some local boys and get a pair of the Wingman Waterfowl ankle boots. I personally don't have any but know people that do and they say they are the most comfortable ones they have worn.

Roll your lacrosse down, or tough it out unless you’re aspiring to become a professional dibble bar operator.

the Xtratuffs that are made now haven't been as reliable, developing an area that's known to crack easily, right at the toe bend. I just bought a pair of the Xtratuff Sport and they seem to be a little more durable, hopefully will get some longevity out of these.

Muck boots are great. I ruined mine this fall, after about 6 years, trying to put out a brush fire that ran on me.

Bought some cheap Magellan ones…sucked. Bought the Red Head brand from Cabela’s and they weren’t great either.

My dryshods look identical to those. I’ve probably got the same performance out of them as well. I wear them all the time.

Most comfortable shoes I have are Grudens Deck Boss. Had some ExtraTuffs. They didn't last nearly as long nor were they as comfortable.

Haven't tried them all, but these were the most comfortable of the 4 different brands I tried when looking. Love em, wear em weekly and still holding up nicely.

Xtratufs

100% these.

I know some people have had trouble with wear but I've had mine for over a year and love them. My son even wanted a pair for Christmas.

We have the Sports so maybe that make a difference in their wear. They feel like wearing a sneaker but with the ability to walk in the mud without getting your feet soaked.

I have a pair of xtratuf. They're comfortable but not very durable. Developed a crack in them after about 9 mth.

Was it in the toe area of the boot?

I’ve had 2 pair and both of them did that in less than a year.

I bought a pair of Huk boots and it’s a snugger fit making me use the pull on strap. The left one ripped in a few months but no cracks in the toe area in almost 2 years.

I've had the Xtratuff boots and like others have said, they developed a crack at the top behind the toe where the shoe creases when you walk. I replaced them with the Muck boot/shoe and I like the Muck ones much better. The opening for your foot is tighter on the Muck boot and less crap gets in. Whenever I was weedeating with the Xtratuffs, I'd have to stop and empty grass clippings and sticks out frequently.

A buddy of mine had the HUK brand and the treads wore off quick. He was always slipping and sliding so I made sure not to buy those.

Check out TruDave gear. Plenty of options and cheap. Have a pair of the shoes for the yard.
