I don't know why these aren't more popular. They don't look like something you'd want in the marsh, but they look like the ultimate coastal platforms.

I would guess price may be one factor. Also most people associate a catamaran with an offshore hull, however Tideline is an extremely versatile boat. They aren't a big production boat like a bluewave, blackjack, pathfinder, etc...

If I had the cash, I'd definitely be considering a Tideline 235 for my type of fishing. Besides the benefits, cats are just cool as hell

I would have to guess that's the biggest factor. I've seen quite a few 25'+ bay boats the last couple years. I don't think the price is too far off from those.

A quick search showed an almost new Tideline sold last year for 85k, said it was 120 rigged out new. That's probably cheaper than a rigged out crevalle or similar.

I think I've seen later model calcutta listed for around 100, and the one on tht right now is listed at 65 I think.

The gunnels on those are way too low. They are basically flats cats. No way I'd take one in Lake P

i wonder what the freeboard difference is between the fiberglass boats vs an AA boat. looks like most of the fiberglass boats bows are pretty high. not sure if the AA boats are the same. thats a big deal when it comes to slinging fish in the boat.

SCB is one I definitely would not want. Nowhere near enough freeboard for my liking

Have you ridden in my 28’ I am assuming not rather I would bet $ that you have not

Will put it up against ANY Boat on the market in its class no matter what material it is made from further if u have not been in one my boats would love to take ya wether are not you are a qualified buyer makes no difference think of this as a educational experience

That way when you make public comments you are making them with direct knowledge of said product and not just floating a broad statement of experiences you likely have had with other craft

You do have good cause to assume that aluminum does not ride as good as glass however u have not been in my craft

When u ready for education day look up my phone number it’s on the web

I'm not a marine architect or anything, but is it not basically common sense that you need the weight and density of fiberglass to ride like a fiberglass boat? Aluminum is too thin and light to ride the same right? I'm sure there is ways to make it better, but hard to be the "same".

Weight and Hull form are critical my 28 dry hull weight is 4,600 lbs no engines fuel are rigging that is above what most comparable glass boats weigh
