Yeah, but my KVD looks happier.

And now that I’ve been made aware, I now no it is not empty. Because it has a spatula, a pair of white shrimp boots, three running bras and a pogo stick.
Lmao! Dude, you even said in the OP everything else was stocked except fishing tackle and ammo. LDWF keeps reporting increased in license sales over the same period from last year. Hell, they sold 21k more basic fishing licenses in April 2020 than what they did in April 2019.
I went in to Academy and found everything I needed for an arrow build I'm doing right now with no problem. Maybe it would be a problem if more people were shooting bows right now, but thankfully, they are not.
But anyone looking for fitness gear or fishing tackle is going to be shite out of luck just about anywhere right now. Those aisles in Walmarks look exactly like Academy. It's not Academy's fault. It's this fricking virus. You can blame it for all of the extra people at your favorite fishing hole too. Lol!

I snagged a M&P Compact at the Alexandria store this weekend. No ammo, though.
Luckily I already reload for 9mm.

My son-in-law lives in MN. He and his family came last week for a visit and drove back yesterday. He took back w/ him hundreds of pounds of weights from his home here. There are no weights and other fitness equipment anywhere, including online. He expects to make hundreds of dollars selling the weights from home.

It's the end-of-fiscal-year for most of these businesses. They're restricted by corporate for ordering, restocking, etc. so when they inventory it will be quicker and 'smoother'.
The current climate of hoarding ammo, weights, etc. doesn't help us one bit, but the bean-counters like how much easier their taking store inventory will proceed.
After July 1st these places will begin bulking back up.

Seems like a great time to decide what not to stock.

Why would Private companies follow the STATE Govt. fiscal year ???

Academy is basically an empty shell in Alexandria
Have any of you tried to purchase any tungsten fishing weights or for that matter decent lead fishing weights? Yeah fishing aisles and ammunition aisles are depleted. That goes for Gander Outdoors also.

this is what happens when everything is made in one country.

If my bean counter said "Lets not fully restock through this era of raging demand because it might make inventory go smoother next month" that bean counter would be out of a job.

The Cabela's in Gonzales is absolutely empty with anything having to do with pistols or pistol ammo. The past 6 weeks have been a boone for gun and ammo sales. BLM is good for biz

Hey, boss, I think we should not put anymore inventory on the shelves.
Tell me why Mr accountant.
Well boss, sure would make my job easier, so I can spend more time on IG.
Great idea Jr accountant man....who wants to make money. We will just get the stores topped off after all these kids get back in school and summer activities cease.

Went to one in Baton Rouge this morning and it looked like a going out of business sale. If you want clothes, you're in luck. Anything gun or fishing related, is all gone. If I hadn't lost all my guns in a horrible boating accident a few months ago, I'd be fricked on finding more .223 ammo before the election.

I'm thinking $0.44/ round is a good deal right about now
