You mean Security Sporting Goods be out?

I love Security. Great people. But outside of apparel, baseball bats and ammo I have a hard time finding what I am looking for there. Fishing selection is super lacking and saltwater baits are nonexistent.

Stopped at Bowie outfitters today. They had a decent selection of stuff. Got back to Lafayette and stopped at field and steam. The fishing section is hit pretty hard, lots of low inventory. Decent selection of baits still.

Tuscaloosa is empty. So far as guns, rifle/pistol ammo. They had maybe 40 total long guns the other day. Do have shotgun shells, but not normal inventory.

I was in Academy in Chattanooga this morning. The girl behind the gun counter says on a normal day they would sell 2-3 guns and would have 850 in inventory. She said they were down to about 125 guns in inventory and were selling 15-20 guns a day. And on the weekend they are selling as many as 40-50 In a day.

The lack of cashiers and an empty hunting and fishing section is bad enough, they also have no fitness equipment for home gyms, but congrats on having things no one wants to buy I suppose.

Sounds like a teachable moment. Buy extra if and when you can. I tend to stock up on goods. People make fun of me.

But you know who has a shite load of tackle and ammo? This guy!!

You got a KVD 1.5 in chartreuse w a black back?

Why so obtuse. We all have a shite ton of tackle goofy. Jesus you are picking an odd topic to dig the frick in on.

You got a new 7 foot mh fast tip and a new 6.6 gear ratio reel? See I didn’t, and I surely didn’t have 6 to choose from, I am sure you did.

The Academy in Harahan had some pretty empty shelves in the fishing department when I was in there a few weeks back.

I was looking to buy a reel and they didn't have what I wanted out on the floor or in their inventory.

I wound up ordering it from Dick's Sporting Goods on-line and had it in 4 days.

I was in both Laffy stores within the last week or two, and they had plenty of cashiers. I didn't go into the ammo or fishing sections, but I've been told those were wiped out and have been for a while. Other than that, you're being a bit dramatic. Fitness has been bare for a few months now, but everything else was pretty well stocked. Hunting, camping, pool, BBQ, shoes, clothing...yeah, that was pretty much all there.

Bass Pro in Denham was stocked on everything except guns and ammo. Weren’t very many empty or low racks in tackle.

I don’t understand Academy. Stuff is stocked online so it’s clearly not a supplier issue. There just nothing in the stores.

It’s horrible in Humble, TX.
Were Academy stores throughout Texas 'Oshman's Sporting Goods' before Academy bought them. That's what happened in Dallas. Like Bass Pro buying Cabela's. Disappointment followed.

I have no idea, I haven't been in the Alexandria store. What kind of dumbass question is that?

You asked if every Academy is like this. They aren't. It's only a few sections in the ones I've been in.

Houma wiped out as well- at least I got the 500 yards of 30lb Power Pro I needed- but there wasn’t much else- like less than a dozen packs (not colors) of Matirx Shad.

His OP was asking if all Academy stores had empty shelves. I responded with my experience in two stores. When someone said they sell more than guns, ammo, and fishing gear, he responded with "congrats on having things no one wants to buy", or some chicken shite like that.

He's acting like the entire store is empty, when it's really just a matter of not having what he wanted, which every fricking sporting goods store is going through right now with fishing and ammo.

I've yet to go to any store that sells fishing tackle that isn't picked over.

Sorry the Alexandria Academy isn't the only store in the world, and sorry OP couldn't find his worm.

One of my friends is a GM of a big box retail store and he told me that everyones inventory is extremely low because they have not been receiving normal shipments for the last 2 months due to Covid. He said they just this week started receiving shipments are he is getting 3 times as many as normal over the next 2-3 weeks just to restock.

Everyone except Lafayette and Lake Charles.

I’m glad to know it is not just our store.

And now that I’ve been made aware, I now no it is not empty. Because it has a spatula, a pair of white shrimp boots, three running bras and a pogo stick.

Oh, and I shoulda prepared for Jun 2020 trip to Saline sometime in October.

I just need new hobbies it seems
