Mother. frick.

If I physically checked my magazine-fed firearms any more than I already do, my pinky would be a stump.

WE gotta get the word out there, magazine - finger bang that shite to check.

I know a guy who was unloading his .30-06 I believe out the back seat of his truck from hunting the night before. Brother was on the other side unloading too. Pulled out the gun and it went off, went through the seat and hit his own brother in the thigh. Believe it nicked the bone and thankfully didn't hit it direct. Very lucky to have his leg. Can't imagine getting shot by that at almost point blank

For future reference, if you're going to quote another source/website or w/e you should put it in the quote thing, esp if its spoken in first person to avoid any confusion.

What I don't understand is why anyone's hand would be covering the muzzle while taking the slide off a Glock.
I guess it's one of those tactical slide grips
Never understood why some manufacturers put serrations on the front of the slide either. Press check?
I always grip the rear of the slide.

Well it started off in first person, and then at the end I got distracted by the hand with a hole in it

I can't believe it took 4 pages for someone to mention this.

As much as it sucks for this guy, if he had not covered the muzzle with his hand the bullet could've found a different backstop without leaving a gaping hole.

But this is a great reminder of always being vigilant about safety. I remember reading a thread recently about a guy with his Ruger KLCR. He put a 357 mag through his hand and I think he had to get a couple fingers removed.

Safety. First. Always. Every. Single. Time.

Lol at everyone not reading the thread,
first off, that man will lose his pinky, its been vaporized.
will be a 30,000.00+ bill.

i am confused how he did this in the first place, did he remove the mag and rack the weapon and a round just fell in there? did he actually try to do this with a mag in the gun? did he drop the mag and not check the chamber?
