Searched around TD and didn’t see a running thread.

Who’s got their reservation in? Build and price apparently goes live Friday. Whatever I choose, the Sasquatch package looks like a hell of a deal if it prices out at $5k.

Great info: Bronco6g

Nice. I’m not sure where I’m going with it.

At first I was leaning towards the base and building mine out. Doesn’t seem like the Big Bend (next up from base) offers much for the price.

I also haven’t seen the space difference between the 2dr & 4dr.

I wanted to but the tow capacity sucks. Wished it had a least a 7500lb tow rating. It got like 3500lb. My FJ is rated for 5000lb, not that Id ever put 5k behind it.

I've got my 86' 4Runner with a SAS, 5.29 gears, spool in rear, locker in front, winch, doubler transfer case, and is 100% paid for. The ammount of money they are asking for them, and the new jeeps that can actually do anything other than mall crawl is crazy.

Don't get me wrong, I like them, but for an off-road vehicle that you will actually use off-road... Not for me, but I'm not an OT Baller either. I'd cry if I dented up a 50k+ vehicle rolling around in the woods!!

This marks the first time I would prefer the brown leather interior on any vehicle ever.

Granted, I'd rather just own a wrangler. Bronco is REALLY close to me, but not quite large enough (no v8) and need a little work on its look. I feel like that one won't age well in terms of a "classic" style... and a Bronco is iconic. It needs to have a look that will stand the test of time.

A lot of pushback on the Bronco engine is overstated. Specifically, in the 2.7L.

The 2.7L has a twin-turbo and delivers 310hp & 400 ft-lbs of tourque out of the factory.

Since you brought up the Wrangler... the Wrangler 3.6L V6 delivers 285hp & 260ft-lbs.

The 2.7-liter EcoBoost was quick before and is even quicker now, smoking the last Chevrolet Silverado we tested with its 355-hp 5.3-liter V-8 (7.2 seconds to 60) and even running an almost dead heat with the burlier, 420-hp 6.2-liter Chevy (5.7 seconds).

Car & Driver

New engine technology has found a way to drive plenty of performance out of less displacement while also managing efficiency far better than larger engines.

I'll likely be deciding between a 4-dr and a F-150 in 2022. Let them get the kinks worked out of the assembly on pre-orders.

Agree completely. I was looking at getting one of these in a year or two, but I need something to tow my boat. The whole shebang (boat, motor, trailer, gear) weighs just under 3,500 lbs. However, my current vehicle is rated to tow 7,000 lbs. and I can feel the difference when towing (and can feel it at the pump, as well, it just EATS gas when towing). Hate to be towing at the max end of the Bronco's towing capacity...

Have towed 10k with 2.7

Surprisingly easy pulling.

It's probably the best engine out right now. Even if it is a copy of a 20 year old design

The 2.7 geared from the factory on 35s is the real game changer.

If it gets 18mpg it's a winner in my book.

The only way I'll sniff that mileage in my daily driver is dropping 8k for a low mileage 5.6 swap and the jatco 8 speed.

And even the 5.6 will be lower on torque than that 2.7

Yep it’s definitely not built for towing. That’s one beef that’s justified. Apparently the manual isn’t offered with the larger engine.

Those two things are really the only knocks I’ve been able to surmise.

Road & Track magazine had an article on them. I want the 1996 in back. Drop a crate 5.0 in and it's the perfect truck.

Not sure why we have the choice of giant bus like Tahoe or Expo, or small tiny thing like New Bronco or Wrangler. The Bronco was perfect for a man that has no kids and works in the field but not with his hands.

Soccer moms aren't towing anything. I've seen more women post of FB they put in a reservation than men. Granted women post all kinds of stupid shite on social media and men usually stay quiet.
