This. I can't think of a reason to buy a midsize for the same price as a fullsize.
Your home has a garage.

The Ranger and the Taco start at the same exact MSRP.
Yeah but Toyota takes almost nothing off MSRP, and as said Ford may take $8k off.

You're still driving a Ford

You're kidding right? Just a couple years ago I got a platinum for $48k. No way in hell I'm touching 45 for midsized.

Everyone trying to quote what they spent on their upper level full-size for X amount of dollars is absolutely fricking stupid. The point has been made five times already in this thread.
The only number stated was 45k msrp for fully decked ranger. The purchase price for that truck depending on time of year bought incentives and everything else will drive that price 8-10k down and even 15k in some cases. So 30-35k for a fully loaded kidsized truck might not be so bad
@whoeever you are your msrp for your platinum was almost guaranteed to be in the 70s.
I truly think people just love to bitch about something because if they say something negative it will inherently make them seem smarter. Is that how it works??

Yeah you can get a f150 for 45k mary but it’s going to be an xlt not 4x4 and one of the lower engine models
My STX package was 42k MSRP on a 2018 F150. Paid 30k, but still, that's an absurd MSRP for a damn near base level truck. Sad part is. The full sized trucks often give huge rebates that allow you to get down to a number like 30k. They dont offer as much with the mid sized trucks. So even another reason its hard to see where the market for then really is.

My 2016 v8 XLT 4x4 had a sticker of $53 and I paid $37.5.
You can get good deals on domestics if you research.

Yes that’s the kind of deals that we’re going on last month and into this month.
Ford had a deal on the premium xlt 4 door v8 4x4 rear elocker tow package and Big nav display for 37k
Chevy had the same deals on the Texas edition similarly equipped trucks. Both about 10-15k off msrp.
I expect the ranger once they start having models backed up on lots will be the same way but for 30-35k you will have a fully appointed truck

I've only had one Ford ever. It caught on fire ("electrical issue") in front of the pre-school and made my son cry. Went back to Chevy.
My son was looking at used Rangers 3 years ago. Gave him my Chevy Silverado and bought a new Colorado for myself.
Don't buy a Ford...

a ~300hp (give or take 8 percent) inline 4 in a truck application is pretty impressive,
nah...they just run the RPMs way up high to make the horsepower show decent, but that is a damn weak little motor.

What does a fourwheel drive every option box ticked lariat f150 cost. My bet is mid to high 60s
I just bought a 2018 every option you could want and paid 51. MSRP was 62 but after rebates and buying it later in the year they knock a lot off.
Posted on 8/16/18 at 7:48 am to Timmayy
A MSRP on a 150 Lariat loaded is about 58k with even a stupid moonroof.
But you can buy it for 46k everyday.
