A 15 Sierra does the same shite. Dealership says “the normal oil change is every 5,000 miles now” so that accounts for the extra 2-3 quarts I’m assuming.

I think my 2011 5.0 holds somewhere between 7 and 8 quarts.

My '13 f150 holds 7.7qts. the change oil light comes on every 8k-10k miles. I run synthetic so I would think I could go a little more but I just get it done when the light says so.

Most Mercedes vehicles hold 9 quarts. You buy it by the gallon if you have a diesel truck

My 17 250 holds 13 quarts of oil . The manual had a misprint and stated 15.
