Best time of the year is almost here. This little front we had pushed a lot of birds in my area I got the itch now. Anyone else seeing birds after this front?

Just left North Dakota, we saw only a handful of ducks in traditional ducky parts of the state.

We made the run out to the lease in Dularge yesterday morning. Pleasantly surprised to see a few grays and even some poule d’eau had shown up with a couple teal still hanging around. Counting down the days!!

Went to our lease on Friday to do some blind work, and was pleasantly surprised to see tons of teal, and a good amount of big ducks already down. Cant come fast enough.

Took a ride to our lease in Bayou Black. Saw a flock of teal and about 200 pouldo. The vegetation on our lease was not affected by the hurricane. Everything looks great.

Poule d’eau are thick on False river, hadn’t seen any others. The Mexican squealers have headed south.

The Mexican squealers are in the wilson st canal, laffreinere and Audobon Park. It is lousy with them.

Hoping this is the year the declining number trend is bucked!

Still having a hard time finding shells though.... That would be my luck though, covered up with ducks and not a damn shell to be bought!

Interestingly enough, the banding/telemetry data says they don't do that at all. They actually go to more developed area, much of which is comprised of the metro NOLA area actually.

They are smart!

Hearing of grays showing in outer Delacroix marshes, food should be in decent shape. Keep knocking wood the storms stay away.

been to 3 separate marshes across SELA since the storm. Food is still present in all 3. Not creme de la creme like it was before storm, but still grass and snails at all 3 marshes.

Compared to last year, these areas were nothing but mud after 3-4 storms throwing surge on them.

Every place this year has more food than they did last year from what ive seen.

Have a buddy that was in ND last week and he sent pics with a bunch of birds. No idea what part of the state as I’m not familiar.
