Sounds like you're like me.

Here's my advise: 1) no medicine (but bring it) and 2) make your wife start driving herself.

Hope this helps
Oh, youre going with a Charter.

You'll prob be with Blake on his Black Cat. (i think its 42ft but i cant remember).

You'll be fine unless seas are 4-5+, which it isnt looking that way.

Do you normally get car sick if you visit mountain/if wife drives? if so, take medicine.

If you dont really get seasick, you should be fine without the medicine. I had some green green friends on a 42 cat last year fishing NOLA Billfish Club and it was rough (7-8s) and they never got sick. (one did have a patch tho). The Cats take out a lot of the beating and rocking you are used to in a regular CC.

It never hurts to take the medication anyways--but I for one hate taking anything other than nightly Zzzzquil

9-11mph gusts on Friday out of S/SW.

Waveheight, per windfiner, is going to be kind of high, even with lower wind. (Waveheight and wind are hard to lock in this far out)

Not sure what exactly youre fishing in (boat wise) nor how far "offshore" youre going--but you should be fine fishing East Bay rigs and right out of S/SW Passes in 100-200ft of water (being that you can run back to bank pretty quickly).

However, if youre meaning running to 989, etc--I probably would not unless you're running a bigger CC/Cat.

Really need more info on what youre running and what youre looking to do (snapper fish v. tuna/dolphin, etc)
I am glad you've waged war on it (so have I--if you haven't realized I despise it and am passionate about that despise)

I respect your opinion, but In my opinion Privet has been the most *unsuccessful* and destructive plant in Pine Plantations habitat--compared to other places it grows.

The thing about the pine plantations is such timber stands should not and would not just have bare pine straw absent privet (go look at Lake Ramsey, Money Hill preserve, Research Station in Washington Parish, Old River WMA-Mississippi Side of Pearl River, Desoto National Forest, and other private properties in Tangi/Washington Parishes) that show what a true pine plantation (with proper management) should look like. The pine trees with bare dirt and pinestraw under it are mainly related to pinestraw bailing operations and are just as disastrous to quail and turkey habitat

In the past these Pine Plantations (when privet was not as prevalent and fire was used as a management tool) were full of native grasses, oaks, clumps of briar thickets (where canopy was open), and other brushes/habit.

It should be noted that pine plantations regularly implemented fire and should still implement it. It should be also noted that there is more biomass and browse on a pine plantation/savannah year round, managed via fire, than most other types of habitats we have here in Louisiana.

*edited to fix grammatical error*

Chinese Privet thickets, and more importantly the effects of the failure to manage privet (i.e. destruction of pine savannah/under story, increased thickets leading to high predation, loss of quality habitat including understory/insects/grasslands,etc) are the No. 1 cause of turkey and quail decline in SE Louisiana and my mind will not be changed.

I hate Privet with ever fiber of my being. And frankly, i think privet is actually a disservice to deer and browse in light of what was around before privet took over under every stand of pines over 15ft. (i.e. rolling grasses, briars/berry bushes, persimmons, etc).

Tl;Dr: Privet is the devil and IMO provides little to no beneficial effect to SE Louisiana compared to its negative effect.

Best one I've had is one make by Alex Chauppetta (bought it from him on FB). He works in NOLA but lives in Mississippi I think. Make sure to go with the yellow light. It helps a lot in murky water. Small cube light on the end.

The clear light is nice--but suspended dirt/silt in water obscures your visibility with the clear. The yellow somehow cuts through it. (I have no idea why--that's just my experience).

Ole HogNose!

I haven't seen one in years. Generally, when you scare them, they will roll over and play dead.

Picked up many of them as kid thinking they were dead, brought them inside to show parents (not the smartest idea), only when i got back to where i left the snake (when going to grab parents) the snake would be gone (many a time in the house). Side note: my mother is to this day horrified of snakes.

Tl;dr: hognose, non-venomous, good to have around house

Hopefully they'll stay in the State Park (less than a mile away) that has fantastic mountain biking facilities.

But nevertheless--6-8months.
Opening of Bow/Rifle Season are Comparable to Venice opening weekend of snapper, memorial day weekend, and Thanksgiving week when trout are in Jump.

Rest of the time it really just depends on weather.

That's my opinion, and I hunt the larger WMAs in SELA. Now, on this one (only being 1500ish acres with easy road access and the ability to be back to NOLA/Mandeville within 25-90mintues) im sure it will be packed to the gills.

Great idea and resource for Washington Parish & Nortshore. However, unfortunately it will be completely overrun similar to Lake Ramsey & Big Branch due to the close proximity to Northshore baws. Will also be overrun with plenty of white boots coming up to hunt Thanksgiving/Christmas.

The State needs to implement specific WMAs for archery only, no surface drives on certain WMA (similar to Biloxi Marsh), and/or other limitations for benefit of hunters & property.

Just my 2c.

Beautiful Place! Glad you burned those days and went now? lol

Wish I was in your shoes right now rather than staring out over the CBD.

The mounds you see are generally associated with a different species of crawfish than the ones we are custom to eating.

Here's the Senate ones

--SB108 change in recoverable write off amount to 30%--amount billed/paid discoverable before trial. Also gets rid of presumption related to causation
--SB 150 similar to SB108/34--relate to recoverable medical specials
--SB 209 another one regarding recoverable medical specials
--SB 231 another one regarding recoverable medical specials.

Lots of interest in recoverable medical specials. lol

Can you give a list of the HB/SB #'s associated with each?

I have found quite a few of them but wanted to read the bills.

Thanks

Well, that's not their actual website for one.

Two--those prices dont even cover the costs of materials, much less handling, shipping etc.

I'm going to just note this as a scam--but if it works for anyone, im happy for ya.
With those facts, I would be burning 15 days and hunting him until he is dead and then going to find a turkey or just enjoying time off. :rotflmao:
