You can not get a V8 in a 2022 tundra.
I have one. Gets right at 21mpg on the highway

Yes I have a 2016 Tundra 5.7. Feels like plenty power but I don’t tow anything. Can’t imagine it’d struggle with a 5500 lb boat but of course MPGs won’t be great.

My son got my 2012 Sequoia. That’s why I have a new Tundra, son got his license.

Before you go off on a Ram rant, you might wanna plug your VIN into the link I put in the OP.

What will that show about Rams?

It will tell you the exact tow rating of a specific vehicle.
Most all Ram crew cabs with the 5.7L are 7K max.

For a 2022? Mine is 11381 lbs, and I have a loaded up Laramie.

Your check the VIN link sucks arse and isn’t accurate. Check it directly on the Ram website. A Ram with the 3.92 rear end will tow your damn boat.

My Ram, non-4x4, pulls my 5500lb boat fine. But then again I bought the hemi.
You bought a 6 cylinder Ram?

Bro your link is trash. That ish is so woefully inaccurate when it comes to MAX tow capacity. Maybe it is reference dead hitch weight which is significantly lower than max.
All max weights on any published site is usually referring to weight distributing hitches, which most boats don't have, especially on boats.

That is not the real number for that truck. 2016 Ram Tow Chart It is 7600-8600 pounds. They don't list the rear axle ratio in that CarMax add.
I used your link for my Ram and it showed just over 8000. I tow boats and utility trailers often. Before I changed the stock wheels and tires I got from 13-15 mpg towing a 21' skeeter bass boat.
Their are two V6 options for Ram's. One is the gas Penta star. The gasser is a great motor but is not meant to be a powerful towing engine. The diesel V6 is an excellent towing engine thus the much higher numbers.
If you want to stick with Ram just get a HEMI with 3:92 gears and you will have zero problems with a 5,500 pound boat.
Check out The Fast Lane Truck on YouTube for real-world towing and truck reviews. There isn't a truck they haven't tested

The 6 cylinders can handle a bunch of weight just fine as well. You won't be able to blast over the sunshine bridge at 80 mph but you won't scatter engine parts all over the highway either.
As subMOA said earlier, it's about managing expectations. What's it worth to you to be able to outrun traffic uphill while dragging your boat? Worth the price of a bigger badder truck?
The 6cyl models with a tow package will have all of the same hardware less the engine as the same make/model v8 with tow package.

Any 1/2 will pull your 5500lb boat without issue. My boat is 5100# dry and I pulled it with a 2wd Hemi. Also had no trailer brakes.

Check the VIN.
that link shows stock options. it does not factor in different packages on the truck (e.g., 3.92 gears). Check your door sticker for accurate #

Actually the numbers are pretty similar.

Get Ford 5.0 or GM 3.0 Diesel with Max Tow package, trailer brakes and call it a day. If you are long hauling all over the Appalachians then maybe look at a 3/4ton.
