Calm and foggy
Box stand in field

Really didn’t plan to hunt here today but checked camera yesterday and had a shooter come out on the 29th. This 6 acre CRP type field is noted by 60 acres of thick sleeve cut hardwoods that almost un huntable

Good decision. Seen a tall young 8, spike, and about a 17” 8pt with a broken G2 so far

This is the pic that made me come here

Got a pretty good one last evening around 4:45, creeping down a path that was predominantly upwind of me (edit). He’s the only thing I saw all day yesterday. He was heading towards a scrape I’ve been hunting. Dropped him dead in his tracks, which was nice since I’m alone this weekend! 195 lbs 8 pt (8th pt is more like a nub)

I’m wound up so tight this morning. There’s at least one dark patch of something or other at the end of each lane that no matter how many times I look at thru my nockers, it still makes my heart jump every time I see it with my naked eye.

I need to settle down.

Took me 4 hours to cape and debone that sumbitch by myself....wondering if it’s a good idea to process in MS with CWD potential? Deboned so I could take to LA....anyone recommend a good taxidermist near Centreville? Need some wall decoration for my camp

South of Natchez. Was 36° when left the camp.

Box stand with little jembeurt looking over a 175 yard x 60 yard field. (Same spot little man grabbed a spike three weeks ago)

He’s packing a .243 and I’ve got a .270.

Good luck OB brethren.

Was about to video a young 8 chasing a doe and this guy came rolling in behind them. 10 years of deer hunting and my first buck.
