Wife forced watching Olympics last night and the best venue was curling. Hurling those massive granite blocks down the ice with precision was exciting. the informative session was great and the coed participants were cute.

On the other hand, the snow boarding was a bust. just covered up individuals hopping on rails and using ramps to jump. See one and you have seen all of them

Am I the only one finding Olympic coverage so far has been abysmal?

Did you ask your wife to jump on your rail?

Wish someone else carried it instead of NBC.

NBC's Olympic coverage is never good.

I've been watching on Peacock so I don't have to deal with switching between 10 different sports.

Curling and downhill skiing events are always fun to watch, but not watching any of it this year. The CCP and NBC can both suck it.

I appreciate the training regimen for curling. Trips to McDonald's and 7-11 beer runs.

You have hit on one of the reasons curling has such an oddly large following. It takes 2 minutes to understand the basic rules of curling whereas events like slopestyle and halfpipe take a much deeper understanding to watch with a discerning eye.

I absolutely hate their online platform.

They could learn something from the folks that run The Masters.

After watch the winter games, I feel Curling is the only game I can participate. All of the jumping, skating needs talent and more than 10 years to train.

Agree Curling was very entertaining. Are the big baggy uniforms in snowboard a homage to the original big baggy rags worn by the freestyle skateboarders who basically invented the sport ? I cant imagine any other reason to dress that way when no other pro skiers do.

I love a sport where you can win a gold medal in the Olympics AND get shitfaced drunk - all at the same time.

I enjoy the non-subjective events like curling and downhill skiing, closest to the middle and fastest down the mountain, respectively, win. All the rest that a panel of judges score seem to be if you land on your feet you win, the nuances of “tricks” are lost on me. And yes, the coverage sucks.
