Hurricane Zeta - In the Cone Again - Hurricane Warning for SE Louisiana
Almost right on top of my parents house in lakeshore estates in Slidell

My folks are all shuttered and boarded in Quail Ridge. I'm planning on being in town Thursday to help with [hopefully minimal] cleanup.

The improving cloud pattern of Zeta is usually one that favors intensification in the short term. In addition, microwave data from a couple hours ago indicated that a 37 GHz low-level ring was present, which also can be a harbinger of strengthening, and sometimes that strengthening is on the rapid side.

I don't like reading a statement from the NHC that RI is possible here.

After Zeta rolls through,
Lows around 45.

How many times does a hurricane come through and you make a case for wanting your heater to pop on

HH confirming increasing organization and starting to get some stronger winds near the center. Glad to see the steady pressures though.

Watching to see if the storm rotates this hot tower around and if the SW side convection gets really firing and rotating around as well. WV has outflow expanding as well, suggesting with everything else the storm is starting it's strengthening phase.

The overnight recon will be interesting for sure.
