Did you also go to bed last night in Ocean Springs? Much cooler story if not.

Checking in from Gwinnett County in GA. It was really gusty about an hour ago. It’s starting to slow down a bit. Lots of leaves blown off trees but I don’t see any trees down.

For where I am just north of Birmingham, things could have been worse. Our highest gust was probably only 20 or 25 mph. The only thing that woke me up was the direction of the wind was blowing the rain right against my bedroom window, which made it loud. My power went out for a minute or two one time but that was pretty much it. Prayers out to those who suffered much worse from Zeta.

Woke up in Mandeville (HWY 1088) to the sound of generator buzz in the neighborhood and still no power. Cell at least works as normal now tho unlike last night.

Thank goodness that cold front came through and it’s not hot as balls #blessed

I will say at Brook Highland, right up the hill from the Lowes on 280 - it got pretty rough. we had some wind gusts that shook our apartment building - and it has never done that in the many years I have lived here.

my parents in mobile had the neighbors fence blow over the entire length of the back yard, and they think they took some roof damage but wont know till it gets light out.

Agreed. It was pleasant last night with the windows open in the house

I believe things got pretty rough there. I think they had some surge/flooding issues, but I’m not sure how bad.

Yeah, the front is moving into and through the southeast, which should provide clearer skies and a noticeable drop in temperatures. Very good for people without power and doing cleanup.

They are working. I’m in Old Metairie, but my power came back on shortly after midnight.

In Garden District in NOLA

Power was out at like 6:00pm when the north eyewall hit. Flickered once. Then went out for like a minute at 5:50pm. Then finally out at 6:00pm.

Power came back on at 10:00pm I couldn't believe it.

Drove around the city for a bit... some light poles down, new sapling trees for decoration uprooted. Power out throughout the entire city basically. Branches and leaves and twigs covering the streets. No major structural damage seen just a lot of oak trees and such with big branches down.

The transformer literally next to my house exploded at like 5:50pm. The line attached to it flew across the street and is tangled in my neighbors balcony. Pretty wild.

Energy just said expect outages for 3-5 days which I think is actually pretty considering. They are using the 5-10 days they were earlier.

Still no power in Dulac, but hopefully will restore soon and I can get down there to see what kind of damage happened.

No power in Biloxi. Trees and lines down everywhere. Tree in my front yard fell and missed the house by about five feet. Fence is of course blown to shite in every direction.
