This storm caught a lot of people on their heels. Unfortunately I don’t expect the fear mongering to ever go away.
Edit- I’m talking about the weather channel fear mongering all year that led to a false sense of security.

It’s a well known meme and fits perfectly with you in most threads.

was just trying to explain to him that New Orleans doesnt have a total of 500k residents overall so there was no way Orleans could have 500k without power.
You called him an idiot when he was obviously talking about New Orleans metro.
But hey, you said most of Nola didn’t lose power so now you’re just being an arse
And even when you were “just trying to explain” to the guy asking about the neighborhood, you still originally responded like an arse without answering his question, having to go back and edit:

You do you realize the entire city isn’t out of electricity.
Awesome. But hey you were just talking about a specific neighborhood. Why respond like that?

Looks like the fun is going to hit my home in NW GA in a few hours. Can't wait! It's been raining 24hrs previous...about guaranteed to be without power (a whole lot of trees in NW GA).

Power went out at the crib with like 30 fricking seconds left before the eye passed over.
Just got data back on my phone

St. Charles near Louisiana. Entergy map says we don't have it.

Not what we want to see, the core of Zeta becoming more organized over land. The forward speed has increased to 31 mph! Winds are sustained at 80 mph & gusting to 105 mph. A wall of intense rainfall is taking over the state too. Now is the time to hunker down for the night.

This shite is wild. Idk what’s more impressive, the fact it made landfall 5 hours ago and is already in AL or the fact that it’s remained largely intact.

It isn't 100% accurate. Already talked to one person that has power and entergy says they don't, and another in the dark while entergy says they have it.

For central Alabama folks:

What does this mean for us in Alabama? I should go to bed but part of me thinks I should stay up a few hours to make sure the house is okay and that we’re not in danger of any tornadoes/severe storms with high wind gusts.

I see a blue roof in the background in this pic. Say it ain't so.

One of our TV meteorologists in Birmingham just shared the interesting fact that Zeta is the strongest hurricane on record to pass directly over New Orleans. Meaning the strongest to have its center/eye go directly over New Orleans.
