They are at my mom's house checking on her every day, and when their phones hit her WiFi, the YouTubeTV thinks they are home.
I have kids at campuses away from home. One comes back every now and then, the other just can't.
When YTTV says he can't connect and needs to be in his home area, I log myself out of the YTTV app on the TV and log in with his credentials. It gives me a code I text to him and when he enters it, it shows up on my TV. I log in and promptly log out and it resets his time.

Personally, there is never anything we watch on YoutubeTV other than college football.
Same. And I feel at that, it's a rip off to begin with. Hence me cancelling it.

Funny how it always happens during football season.

Antenna and ESPN+ for a month until they work out a deal.
switched to this at the beginning of september and haven't missed a single game i cared about.
I was already paying Youtube's (approaching cable and dish/direct prices) and $20 for hulu/d+/max and just switched that over to the espn bundle.
literally haven't missed one minute of youtubetv

Thanks for doing this during a bye week!
Now, if I can't watch my Frank Wilson led Tigers next weekend, I'ma be pissed. YTTV is too damn expensive to be doing stupid shite like this, especially after they just raised prices again right before football season (I think that's when it was).

Well rumor is a big part of the dispute is that YouTubeTV wants to offer a smaller, cheaper Sports Heavy package without the Disney and Kids Channels and Disney is balking at it.

Better be by Saturday or I’ll find something else to watch CFB on
Just use regular YouTube. Search “college football” and watch every game.

That's fine. But as for practicality sake, I have no reason for YouTubeTV now while all that is being settled. I only use it for college football so it has 0 use to me now.

Millineals still bragging about cutting the cord?!

They'll be back in a day.
When I had DirecTV, they fell out with FOX for over 2 years and 2 full football seasons. I used an antenna when a big game was on.
Then DirecTV also fell out with ESPN/ABC. That lasted a week or two, and that is what put me over the edge to switch to YouTubeTV.
And here we are again. Et tu YouTubeTV?
Who's next?

Don’t blame anybody for canceling but it’s not YouTube TV’s fault that Disney is intentionally making unreasonable demands to YT that it knows YT won’t agree to. Disney is trying to nuke YTTV to force people onto its new ESPN app. I’m not saying it’s right or wrong that’s just what’s going on.

I don't know of anyone in any age range that hasn't cut the cord

And Hulu/Fubo which Disney also owns.

Maybe this is the peace I needed anyway to prevent me from watching Miss State choke on another one.

Just get the ESPN/Disney bundle directly from ESPN. $30 a month and you get all ESPN programming (all TV channels and all streaming content). Then just cancel after the season is over.

AT&T dropped my Direct Tv and Internet bill to $110 last week. Can’t complain…lol

100% this. People keep putting blame on the provider, but it's the networks doing this by overvaluing their content and trying to strongarm the providers. Every provider goes through this so saying one is better than the other in this scenario is dumb.

You get internet and direct tv for $110?
Posted on 10/31/25 at 8:47 am to Cosmo
This happened a few years ago and was resolved the next day.
