Made this move from Dish several years ago. Haven't had to worry about missing a football game since.

I thought so to but it's not for me. If it saves me over $100/month - yea, I can live without it. If I ant to see an instant replay I can go see the highlight on free YouTube

It doesn't matter which service you got to, eventually dispute day will come.

They’ll be back and YouTube tv will go up another $20

It was like $35 when I first joined
There's a little trick that I use. I have it set up at my mom's house in Louisiana under her name but I pay the bill. I live near DFW Airport. I started a family group. Myself and my two brothers are on it.

They are at my mom's house checking on her every day, and when their phones hit her WiFi, the YouTubeTV thinks they are home.

As for me, as long as I go check on her (she's 90, turning 91 next month) at least once a quarter, YouTubeTV considers me as 'traveling' and I can watch and record YouTubeTV. When I get close to 90 days since the last time I drove over to Shreveport, I get a popup message letting me know I need to return.

So my two brothers' homes and phones have YTTV, my mom does, and I do, too. 4 households on one account. Been doing this for five years. I don't ask them to pay me anything. I would have YTTV and pay for the service, anyway, and besides that, I earn way more than they do.

If you have a family member or close friend with YTTV, y'all could split up the costs between yourselves.

That’s not really true. I used to have Cox for 20+ years before switching to YouTube and they never had a dispute with anyone

I do not understand why people pay for YouTube or Hulu TV - I use the XFINITY app with my internet - Get every channel I need - all for $45/mont
Don’t brag too much. XFINITY will be next. Spectrum, Dish, Direct, etc have all gone through this.

It’s like the politicians in Washington DC. Both the carriers and the channels (Disney in this case) argue publicly to pretend they’re fighting for the customer.

Yet all that happens at the end of the day is the customer pays more. Just like with government, all that happens at the end of the day is somehow the taxpayer gets fricked.

And the two sides end up getting drunk at a fancy steakhouse together on our dime laughing at us the entire time.

It's crazy how many people lose their minds over the idea of going a day without football

Which is why this is the perfect time of the year for Disney and a carrier to have these "spats". It's all WWE to the masses to justify continued rate increases.

This wall of text is useless when YTTV pulls Disney channels entirely, for everyone.

Your 91 year old mom doesn't have ABC/ESPN/SECN either.

There are only a handful of decent football games a year

Some people carry these streaming services only for sports

I can see why they're upset when the only thing that they use the platform for disappears

Just cancelled my YoutubeTV since I don't use it for anything else.

I have been on the fence about cancelling YoutubeTV. I decided to keep it through college football season. Now that this is going on, I am even more driven to cancel.

In the email, they sent. They said you can sign up with ESPN directly to cover you while the dispute is ongoing. If I do that, why would I go back to them. Personally, there is never anything we watch on YoutubeTV other than college football. We have just about every other streaming service so we have access to ABC, CBS, and NBC shows.

I was planning on keeping YoutubeTV until February and then deciding on cancelling. Now that may happen this weekend if I decide to sign up with ESPN directly.

Bad timing for this to happen during the middle of football season. Disney knows what they are doing.
