They are offering an $8 credit so you can buy Paramount+ streaming service yourself.

Pretty deft move in my view that was left out of your OP.

CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon could go dark on the service as soon as Thursday, Feb. 13

Doesn’t sound problematic, but should get price reduction.

Not sure how YouTube does Paramount+, but if included in a package that’s cheaper than stand alone that could be a problem. Also not sure what Paramount Network is, or its relationship to Paramount + to know one way or the other.

I can’t think of anything else I would really miss outside of money if they don’t reduce rates after losing these.

but we're finally at a point where buying multiple stream services to watch the things you want are the same price as adding cable to your Internet plan.

That's why I went back to cable

Not true even with the $10 more a month charge.

Cox:
500 coax internet
Cable with 1 DVR and 2 mini boxes
$245 a month

ATT fiber Internet
1 gig = $80
YTV = $83
Total = $163

Still saving: $82 a month.

And it’s not like Cox didn’t go up $5-10 every year either.

I would rather lose them than have another rate increase.

DirecTV customers in Shreveport area have been without FOX for two-plus years now. It was one of the reasons I switched to YoutubeTV.

YoutubeTV dropped ESPNN for about 3 seconds before they reached a deal.

With that being said, the price has steadily increased while the options have slowly decreased.

Paramount has been in major financial trouble for the last several years. Basically they are on life support.

It still looks like all Paramount channels are available today...when is this supposed to go into effect if it does?

ETA: to be clear, my sole worry on this is my wife being able to watch RuPaul tomorrow
