Godzilla...or is that Japan. Either way, send him to China. Prosper.

So much shortsighted thinking here. You want to cut off trade with China? Nuke china? And so on?
Say goodbye to your cell phones.
Raw Materials
Not to mention the massive amount of debt held by China.
Short answer is he won't do shite. Because he can't. Our entire economy depends on China because politicians and corporations sold us out years ago for more profits.

Add to that the average American now owns more Chinese goods that the rest of the countries of the world combined.
Even if we were to kick China to the curb it is likely we would just replace them with India.
I avoid Chinese good as much as possible, we really try. I don't mind spending more money for a cordless drill, clothes, etc but there are some items that are just impossible to get without a significant part of it coming from the Chinese supply chain.

A uranium-based design called “the Little Boy” and a plutonium-based weapon called “the Fat Man.

Nuke them is the only answer

Well, if we're going to continue dealing with them a start would be to do so only under the condition they do something about those wet markets. They're back to selling bats again. They need to be told that there are limits to what should be sold. No more selling of critters that can potentially carry diseases!

It's like a reflex with you guys. I don't think any processing of that thought occurs at all.

We don't have much choice anymore thanks to wage stagnation and inflation.

At least he won't go bow deeply to Xi Jinping, and apologize like the Kenyan Dreamboat would have.

Yes, let’s cut off ties with one of our more critical trade partners. That will surely help pull us out of a undoubtedly deep economic hole.

I think what a lot of countries are pissed about is that China down played this and made it seem like it wasn't a huge deal.
And you know the entire time they were lying about their numbers.
Not to mention that offers by the CDC and WHO to send over disease experts to help with research were ignored by China.
It's like they almost didn't give a shite if this virus spread world wide

China cant feed themselves. Cut off the food.
Correct, but we are pretty reliant on meds from China and many of our vitamins and food enrichment ingredients come from China - it’s not just cheap goods.

What I think is funny is either of these things would tank the world economy for a decade or more. Usually offered by those that want to open everything up so as not to ruin the economy.
Many of the ones complaining about China downplaying the virus are the very ones still arguing it isn't a big deal and only sky screamers think it is.
