At least whatever DEI hire that was flying for Amazon Air and its operator didn't slam into Trinity Bay and kill everyone this time. That Atlas Air/Amazon Prime crash in 2019 was an absolutely joke with a clown who should have never been in a cockpit.

Reading the NTSB report pisses me off. Poor jumpseater was the only one with any sense. He was about to head to United, an airline that hires actual qualified pilots.

Seeing on X that there’s up to 5 fatalities and 5 injured.

It would not surprise me if all the deaths are in a handful of cars they hit.
Video from airport clearly shows them coming in hot, with a crossing tailwind, and touching down more than halfway down. No signs of thrust reversers. Just insanely bad piloting. Go arounds are free.

Let me guess, they run their air freight the same way the run their truck freight? Independent contractors "leased" to Amazon to shield Amazon from any liability in the hundreds of deaths they've caused in the last 20 years? 90% of the Amazon freight haulers can't speak a lick of English, cant read road signs, and are the absolute worst drivers on the highway - but since they're contractors people can't actually go after Amazon proper. It's total bullshite.

A source with knowledge of the incident told NBC6 that the two pilots were taken to Jackson South, and three others were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

The Prime Air plane came to rest beside a roadway near two semi-trucks, according to images from the scene. The aircraft appeared to be resting on its belly and was largely intact despite the fire.
The flight had been operated by 21 Air, a cargo carrier based in North Carolina. The 32-year-old Boeing 767 was originally built to carry passengers and flew for several airlines for more than two decades before being converted to a cargo plane in 2015, according to flight-tracking site Flightradar24.

Looks like some severe get there itis to beat that thunderstorm. Probably dealing with a decent tailwind from a downdraft.
