Your best 2nd chances while in school/college

My ex took me back after I got blacked out and got some strange after a night of Reggie's freshman year.

I had an exam which was in a different classroom building than the every day class, but didn't know that until I showed up to an empty classroom 10 minutes before the exam.

I ended up wandering all over campus looking for it, but never found it until the test was over.

I faked that I was sick and got to take the exam a couple days later with 10 points subtracted from the get go. Getting a C instead of a 0 definitely helped keep my GPA afloat that semester.

Drank lots night before a 7am Saturday calculus final. Had great grade so really had to screw up to get a B. Overslept, was still drunk, ran in right as last person was handing in their final. Made up bs excuse to TA since I was a good student, etc, he let me take it late. Took the final outside his office as I sobered up and did horribly. Still made an A.

Forgot about an online class I was taking until 2 weeks before graduation (had like a 20~%) Emailed the professor and he let me turn everything in late and ended up with an a and graduating

Sophomore year at LSU I got into a fist fight in the cafeteria next to Kirby Smith.

Got fired from my student job at the REC Center but nothing more.

I was on double secret probation at SLU... Pulled through though....

Same here. I had a dream last night that I forgot my high school practice uniform for basketball at home. I've been teaching and coaching for a decade.

Best second chance, I missed a final as 2 of them were scheduled at the same time. I met my professor in Chimes at happy hour, explained what happened, he gave me the final right there at the bar. Passed with an A.

CSB?

Not really a 2nd chance, but I was doing some serious sweating in grad school the night before I was supposed to graduate. There was a policy on grades, and if you got 2 C grades you were kicked out of the program and had to wait a year to reapply for admission and continue.

There were 12 classes. I enrolled in Summer semester, and took 3 then, 4 in the fall, 3 in the spring, and then 2 classes the second summer to graduate in August and start work 2 weeks later. 6 were Accounting focused classes, and there was a stats class, IT, Econ, Finance, an accounting all MBA students had to take, and a Business Strategy class where we took our comps.

My last semester was that and a Business Law class. I made a C in Finance in an earlier semester, and couldn't make another. I had a high A in Business Strategy, and a high B in Law. I forget the number, but I basically had to show up and write my name down in Law to still get a B. Only needed around a 40. When I got there, the final was ridiculously easy. I was thinking I might have a shot to get an A. Didn't matter in the end, as I already had a job lined up and GPA was an afterthought.

I checked my grades online Thursday night before graduation Friday morning, and see that I have a C in law. There's just no way. I emailed the professor, and didn't get any sleep that night. Here I was 2 weeks out from a job with a CPA firm, and I wouldn't have the hours to sit for the exam if I didn't get that credit, plus the whole ordeal with waiting a year to reapply. I finally found the professor the next morning, she had responded to my email on the hour drive back to campus so I hadn't seen it. She said she was entering grades online, and somehow clicked C in the dropdown instead of the B I earned. She had already been to the Dean of the business school, the records office, and somewhere else to make sure it was all changed and I was able to graduate.
