Is your father still alive? If so it is his decision. If you are the oldest son, you are the new Pater Familias. You are in charge.

Explain to her that unless you go nowhere near another human until you get to her house a test doesn’t mean shite

This is incorrect, and it’s typical of the reactionary nonsense you hear from both sides of the issue. A test proves (to about 98% accuracy) that you don’t have the virus when you took the test.

If two people come to my house, one of whom took a CV-19 test the day before, and the other did not. The odds of the first person having CV-19 are lower than those of the second person. Passing a CV-19 test is not a guarantee of being non-infectious a day later, but it lowers the odds. Your statement above is wrong.

You get tested she’s 89 and at extreme high risk.

I had the China virus and only had a runny nose. I got tested because I came into contact with someone who was positive.

No symptoms doesn’t mean you don’t have it.

The weird thing is that I visited her less than a month ago, and over the summer, and I was prepared to wear a mask the entire time, yet she told me to "take that silly mask off".

She's been watching her (NC) state's news talk about a marked increase in cases.

Knowing two people in separate families who lost parents to Covid caught from their grandchildren, no doubt you get tested. Honestly, it’s a dick move to even post the question, let alone risk your mother’s life in real life.

Imagine how you’ll feel if she dies because you infected her even if you were asymptomatic.

If you love your mother, do as she asks.

Just ask yourself this "what would Biden do?". If you have to even consider whether or not to grant your 89 year old mothers wish, you probably voted for Creepy Joe.

Does she want the paper saying you got tested?

Don’t get tested and say you did

Like every other thing your mom told you to do for the past 89 years

Well you're a piece of shite son to even have to consider this question.

If you don't want to get tested don't visit. It's her house.

You get tested.

Of course, I am facing the opposite situation.

My 85 y/o FIL wants to have us with him for Thanksgiving dinner, but my insane germophibic, thinks Covid is the fricking Black Death wife is insisting we eat outside with him inside (he hates eating outside).

I've told her it's his damned decision and she should honor it. Could be his last Thanksgiving ever.

I can tell you if my kids did this shite to me, they would be out of the fricking will.
