I was going to see my 90 year old grandmother, father who just beat colon cancer, and 60 year old mother

Got tested

Positive

Can’t go to thanksgiving. I felt a little funky and decided to get a test. I am conservative as they come but would’ve felt guilty if I got anyone seriously ill and didn’t think to get tested ahead of time.

It’s a personal decision.

Yeah I'd get tested in this situation.

Unless you've been sitting at home with no contact for weeks then going to the clinic to get tested will decrease the risk of transmitting the virus, not increase it

MOst have drive up clinics anyway. In all honesty you should be the one wanting to get tested before seeing your 90 year old mom, not her asking you to

You can contract it 4-5 days before you show any symptoms.
