Was in the gulf today on a family trip. My oldest son is down from Georgia. My neighbor sent me this. That is my house with my son’s explorer in the driveway.

I’ve been seeing this guy in the pond behind my house. I think he was trying to cross the road and go to a pond in front of us when he got intercepted by my neighbor. He turned and hauled arse back into our pond. Big boy.

All seriousness, I grew up around gators and the only fear was small kids and dogs. Never had one that big in the FRONT yard though

They were always so skiddish. We’d run and slap them on the tails as kids like morons.

Holy Shite!! My biggest fear since childhood. I had reoccurring nightmares with crocs.
I hope y’all don’t let your kids and dogs out unattended. Heck that would definitely kill a huge adult male.
Reminds of that old man with the cigar in his mouth saving his puppy from an alligator. Love that video

I have no kids and no dogs. So I’m good. LOL.

I do however live around a bunch of dumbasses who have probably already called the FWC on him. Miserable frickers.

This was him yesterday just chilling behind the house

My grandparents lived down Hutchinson Island. Across the street from Shuckers. That's all I got.

yeah but I bet some of your neighbors do. That dude should be relocated. He’s just doing alligator things but sooner or later someone is going to shoot him or he’s going to eat something he shouldn’t or both

I didn’t know where that was. Had to look it up. LOL.

Don’t go to the east coast often.

They don’t relocate them here. If you call FWC, they are dead.

Plus I have one neighbor who I dislike because of his little noisy dog. One can hope. LOL.

It’s an interesting thing. This area was just a huge pasture. No ponds so gators were not here. They built the subdivision, I’m in the country for Sarasota, and dig the holding ponds for the houses. Now they come to the ponds.

We live very close to Myaka State park which is one of the highest concentration of gators in Florida. There are just lots of them around here. We have at least 30 ponds in our subdivision. I bet you every single one of them has at least one gator. And some of the ponds are tiny.

Personally, I love them. And love having them around. Along with the bobcats, coyotes, bald eagles and other crazy shite that’s around here. I could do without the eastern diamondbacks though. frick those things.
