Neighborhood looks great and love all of the palm trees, was looking in that area for some time since my previous employer has a few offices up in Bradenton.

Thanks man. I have spent some serious time out there in the back and on the other side of my house planting the past few years. I somewhat got obsessed with it. I never thought I would enjoy gardening but it has been a nice little get a way.

That’s too big and close. There is no shortage of gators. It needs to go. I bet someone in the area feeds it.

My backyard says "Yes, yes they can."

I have video proof (which I am not posting) of me tip-toeing past a very large gator on a nearby trail. He was stretched out on the sand like he was posing for a reptile-edition Calvin Klein ad, and I—displaying the bravery of a Victorian heroine with the vapors—skirted around him through the tall grass from about three feet away. Meanwhile, the other hikers took one look, spun around like cartoon characters, and marched right back to wherever they came from.

Reported by who? I don't believe that. Florida is much bigger and has more wetlands than Louisiana.

By people who count alligators might be a source.
Alligators by state

Supposedly, Louisiana is home to 2 million alligators while Florida counted 1.3 million.

Not a thing I can do about them. If you think you can shoot enough of them to get rid of them, you’re just kidding yourself. It’s like those guys down there trying to catch all the pythons out of the Everglades. That toothpaste is out of the tube brother.

Well, they were nearly hunted to extinction….

Also, there is a big difference between killing them all, and allowing one that size to live next door.

I did not make the video baw. My neighbor did.

Personally, my phone video skills are unmatched.

We have at least 30 ponds in our subdivision. I bet you every single one of them has at least one gator. And some of the ponds are tiny.
If those ponds have any catfish they won’t for long. A small gator showed up at my Dad’s small pond. Left after a couple weeks. His pond had some large catfish. Not a single catfish to be found after the gator left.

I would suggest something needs to be done with or to that gator. Don’t wait until you wish you hadn’t waited.
Things only have to go wrong once.
