You don’t think it’s a problem that there’s a protected class of armed people who usually don’t even have college degrees that we’re told to blindly obey and trust?
Also willing to do a job that, while statistically is not dangerous, is damned hard and thankless, for the low wages most of them earn? That in and of itself makes them unworthy of respect in a society where a man's value is tied at the hip to his earning potential....right or wrong. You could not find a less desirable demographic of people in the US to blindly obey than policemen.

If the feds come to your town and your street with masks and guns and disrupt the lives of you and your neighbors, what will you do?
You do realize the feds have a home office in MSP. You do realize the feds are in your town. They may have been on your street. These operations are being conducted nationwide. Barely a peep out of the other areas. There was barely a peep in MSP until after the fraud allegations started. We then saw local and state governments start up chats to direct and train instigators.
I remember the right being all up in arms over military training taking place in urban areas during PBO's tenure. They screamed that the feds were gonna take over. Dawg, the feds took over in 1789. ICE has been in MSP since its inception in 2003. Before that it was INS. Nothing has changed.
Things are about to simmer down in MSP. Local and state LEOs will now be doing the job they were supposed to do all along. Last night they actually helped riot control. This should continue. They are better equipped for this as compared to ICE and BP.

I think you're confusing me with someone who didn't vote for this. This is exactly what I voted for.

Who would have thought so called conservatives would be all in on toeing the line of the jackboots…so much low T.
If you have ever actually known one you'd know they have always been all in on complying with authority without question. They fully expect everyone other than themselves to "comply or die" and the reason they are excused is because they could not conceive of ever being wrong about anything despite having been wrong about just about everything in their lives...but that is because of "them" not the conservative themselves...its always "them" that is the problem....

It's called obstruction of justice.
No, it's not.
Obstruction of Justice: Tampering with evidence, bribing jurors, threatening witnesses, or lying in an investigation.
Obstruction of Law Enforcement: Physically resisting arrest, fleeing from police, or lying about identity during a traffic stop.
Remember, it's not obstruction to peacefully stand a few feet away and observe/record. We can all stand a few feet away from any cop and observe. It's our right to hold our government accountable.
It is obstruction to block cops and get in their face and stop them from walking down the street.
Don't give up our rightful freedoms because of lunatics pushing the limits. Punish the lunatics, don't punish the law abiding citizens.

If they are trying to clear space and establish a perimeter and tell you to back the frick up, you need to back the frick up. I don't want any more useful idiots (as deranged as they may be) to lose their unproductive lives. We need them around to protest in support of "the next super important thing that saves democracy" so we can continue to laugh at them and remember why those who think like them need to stay out of power.

It’s always interesting watching TD’s Leftists and Moderates suddenly rediscover the First and Second Amendments overnight. The last time this happened was when people were getting fired for celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death on social media; after spending the week before saying he deserved it for being a racist and a bigot.

They are now also anti big govt. It's good to see them coming around I guess. To that end we should all agree on rooting out the billions of dollars of fraud that is occurring under big govts nose in places like MN.

and a path to citizenship.
No. That incentivizes more to come and undercuts legal immigration.
The Rand Paul take is that there should be a path to status like permanent residency but without a citizenship option. Think that is the fairest compromise. The DNC would have to give to codified border security measures and that only US citizens are counted in census date for the House, which not sure they would agree to that.

Notice how you didn’t mention investigating him.

Is that what you're seeing when you watch the video of the incident? Being intentionally obtuse does not help you here.
Did I say that?
Pretty sure I was responding specifically to what someone said: that actions were window dressing. The mere fact that they were there was obstruction.

Last time I did that officer was like "why were you moving around and leaning over?" You can't win. But I do like to have my 3 things ready to give. License, insurance and registration. Hurry up and give me the ticket.

They didn't need that many when a) the locals weren't causing huge issues with them conducting operations, and b) states and municipalities worked with ICE, not against them.
The coordination between local/state and ICE in these sanctuary cities has constantly fluctuated since the inception of ICE. Pre 2019 Hennepin country was fairly cooperative with ICE. After that not really. The state of Minn dept of corrections does notify ICE when foreign-born felons are scheduled for release. You can look up the numbers for your self.
The switch locally occurred when leaders determined that holding individuals on ICE "detainers" (requests to hold someone past their release date) without a judicial warrant violated the Fourth Amendment. Also to maintain public safety by ensuring immigrant communities feel safe interacting with local police without fear of deportation. There is an economic factor as well. Now Im sure you'll day it so the democrats can increase the voter rolls in the future. That may be part of the unstated reason.

What sources are you using to indicate these are "indiscriminate random sweeps" and not targeted operations?
When you see folks that are US citizens and folks on the street being asked for their ID or immigration paper work that is not a targeted operation to remove someone that has been ordered by the court to be removed. Thats randomly stopping folks .
