The TLDR was only 10 fewer words

The one feature in amazed isn't standard on every vehicle, was the old Ford keyless entry pad. I'd love to be able to kick my keys in the car, and open the doors with a numeric code. Any time I used it, I loved it.

I don’t know why all vehicles don’t have this feature.

Tldr: If you want to save money just keep buying base vehicles because once you are used to stuff you can’t go back.

Or you know, buy fewer vehicles.

You are doing something wrong if options that are available at a higher trim aren't standard at a lower trim by the time you buy the next car.

This is how car makers are selling cars now. Not performance, not reliability, but features. How do you think Chrysler is still in business?

My car has the following features:
Manual Transmission
Manual Locks
Hand Crank Windows
AM//FM Radio
AC/Heater
Rear Defroster
Windshield Wipers
Headlights
Hmm...I going to say windshield wipers is the one I can’t live without (I could, but in Louisiana it would be difficult)

Cross traffic back up alert. Between this and backup camera don't even need to look when pulling out into blind traffic

That comes standard equipment on all of us mom's. I did it to my husband a few weeks ago when I had to hit the brakes.

That's a strange shift pattern.

I go from 4th to 6th often and I'd find the grind with that setup.

A lot of carmakers are moving toward RFID key fobs. The doors automatically unlock when you grab the handle and the fob is in range. The doors won't lock from the outside with the fob in the car or in the trunk. The car starts at the push of a button when the fob is inside the car, but not near the car or in the trunk.

You literally walk up to the car, open the door, push the button, and drive off. When you're done, you stop the engine, get out of the car, and walk away. It locks when you move more than about five feet away. If you need trunk access, there's a button below the trunk lid that releases it if the key is in or near the car. Your keys literally never leave your pocket and in the event of some kind of failure, the car has standard hidden mechanical keyholes and the key is inside the fob, so you are never locked out. The only time my keychain leaves my pocket is to open the house and when I take my keys out of my pants at the end of the day.

Yeah, mine's next to first and is gated so you can't hit it by accident.
