Going to SE Asia for 4-5 months, then Latin America for another 5-7. Then worry about finding a real job.

On Driskill Mountain.

I could not wait to start work. Last final was on a Tuesday morning and I started work Wed morning. Graduation was on Friday but I skipped it and went to work (my boss went because his grandson was graduating). Don't have a job yet, or has it just not started yet?

this was me(though LSU threatened to withhold sheepskin,) in my line of work I could not afford any delays, that's not for everyone, would have been fun just to bum around the world for a while

If I could go back, I would take 6-12 months off between the end of college and career. Do a hike through of the PCT and get away from life for a while. Figure out how to disconnect and figure out what's important and what's not. Observe nature, live bare bones and hopefully come out with a much better perspective how to live happy and less cluttered in all ways.

Whatever you do, do your future self a favor and start investing for retirement immediately.

Take the best offer with the most room for advancement you can. Work as hard as you can to prove your value. Don't forget to network, you never know where you're going to end up.
Move in with mom and dad, save money to buy a house.
Spend free time with friends, bang some broads, but don't fall in love.
With any luck, you'll have loads of money at 30 and won't be in the same boat half of the OT is in. (Yours will be much much bigger)

Aside from going back further and getting a degree that enabled me to have an actual skill, best advice I could give my 23 year old self would be explaining that there is no day where you suddenly feel like an adult and your life will suddenly begin. It already did, and honestly you're more than a 4th of the way into it already. I spent far too many years aimless and wandering and really wasted that time looking back.
Also, something we've taught our sons...leave presents for your future self. Do things today that may not be in your 23 year old best interest, but will undoubtedly be in the interest of your 40 year old self. You'll be 40 before you know it, and all you'll have is regret for not doing things today that could have made your life better/easier later. Do those things now, even if it means making your younger self a little less happy in the present.

I love my degree. More concerned with where, than what.
Instead of focusing on where you want to be focus on making sure you are going the right direction. The rest will take care of itself. Make good choices, work hard, make sure you expose yourself to as many different types of projects as you can. Take a corporate finance class somewhere (if you have not already had it). Save money, learn to invest. Develop good work / life balance skills.

I took my fine arse girlfriend from LSU and moved to San Francisco to work an engineering job. Hike all over the coast, climb in Yosemite...

I would be 23 and just getting my journeyman card in the laborers union and making bank. Or getting a free college education as having just discharged from the US Military a year prior.
I would tell any soph-Jr in high school that college is not the end all, be all they have told you the last couple decades. Plenty of options out there that don't have you going in debt for many years regardless if you graduate or not or get a piece of paper that doesn't earn much.
This is assuming mommy and daddy aren't paying the bill. If that's the case by all means go and have a ball.

Not sure if this was a joke or honest, but it's good advice.
Living with your parents and mooching off them while you work a good entry level job is one of the best ways to get a financial head start in life. Pay off your debts, build an emergency fund and save for a down payment on a starter home while your peers are living the "fake it till you make" trap in the big city. Having your financial affairs in order and saving for retirement while still in your 20s is a huge advantage.
