I have a couple yeti things, but they were all gifts.
They're high quality and they work great, but I'd never buy one for myself with how expensive they are.

I dont give a flying crap if anybody thinks I'm crazy or wasteful, but I have found each Yeti or Rtic product I have to be excellent quality and provide good value.
Purchasing any of them has not made me broke and destitute.
I've used the same Yeti cup every day for three years and it looks brand new.
I have a couple yeti highball glasses that keep my margaritas ice cold when I'm hanging by the pool and they dont sweat.
I have a colster that keeps beer cold in the Texas sun when I'm out fishing.
I have an Rtic hardside ice chest that fits my needs perfectly for a weekend camping or fishing trip during the summer.
I have a big Rtic container that keeps water cold all day in my hot car.
And I have my favorite, the Yeti hopper soft side.(not a rip off product) That thing has been tossed around like crazy. Its seen the bottom of the Guadalupe river and Lake Travis. Its been full of fish or dove. Its falling off of four wheelers and the thing has never leaked a drop and I'll probably never have to buy another one.
In my mind if the products you choose to buy provide you value and dont wreck your finances, then what is there to complain about. Most of these things are one time purchases that will last a long time.

The Ozark Trail cup that I bought from Wal-Mart is just as good as a Yeti and a fraction of the price.

Yeti products work, and also have a better look than their competitor products.

I bought two of Academy's Magellan cups (20oz & 30oz) and they work great. I'd rather pay the $10 than the 30 Yeti wanted.

I'll also say this for YETI Hopper Products: Their Hopper 30 breezes through customs and Southwest international and back as an item I can carry on. I brought somewhere between 40-50 pounds of Mahi Mahi and Tuna back from Cabo in October and carried that sh!t on without an issue.
Hell I bought frozen Best Stop Boudin and Boudin Burritos on the way to Mexico while we're at it.
So there's always that.

The stickers are usually pretty affordable.

Greatest product ever.
Doesnt leak, can be shoved in the vehicle in any position, holds enough to be functional, great handle, great strap. Easy to clean if needed.

They are all made in the same plant with the same process and materials. The only difference is the stamping of the logo.

So which plant is making these cups and why isn't the plant just selling their baller cups directly? Because clearly neither of the named companies have the patent on it.

Never bought a Yeti product, I really don't have the need. My pops swears by the his cup, don't know what kind but it seems nice, they're really not very expensive.
I'm more referring to the coolers. They probably have their place, but they're bulky, heavy as shite and total overkill for keeping some yogurt cold for 3 hours. Fishing offshore for 3 days? Running back country rafting expeditions? Yes, then a cheap Coleman probably won't cut it.

I know Yeti gets a hard time on this board and it's probably mostly warranted.
What? Yeti products are great - only the jealous bitches get upset about them.

Ahh, the OT..where people come to talk about how much they paid for their cars and how little they paid for their coolers..

I've got a YETI 20oz tumbler that I use for coffee every single day. I guess it's nearly 3 years old now. I guess it's been worth the $25 or whatever it was I paid for it back then. I've bought bottles of beer that were more expensive.
Also have a 36oz growler that I love for toting around my homebrew to share with friends or bring to the pool. It's not glass, I don't really have to put it in a cooler unless it's going to sit in a hot car all day, and the top is big enough that I can pour straight from the tap of my kegerator without a growler filler. I also have a 64oz RTIC version that's pretty much the same thing in a bigger format. It's great as well, but I use the smaller one more often because it's a hair over 2 pints of beer.
Got one of the coozie deals as a gift. I pretty much only use it when I'm at the pool with canned beer. I guess it does its job, but I'd rather they made one that would fit 16oz cans too. I'd definitely call it overpriced, because I'd never buy one at that price for myself.
I've never had the need for a YETI cooler. The hard ones are entirely too heavy and I don't do anything that would require one. The soft ones are too expensive for a soft cooler that has no pockets. I have an AO soft sided cooler that works well enough for what I use it for.

I buy a brand called Titan. Their 30 oz on Amazon is around $12.
