Which is hilarious since we have caught nursing home employees not wearing masks twice
Once when they (nurse) answered door to pick up a snack drop off & once during a window visit when they (CNA) brought in a meal

If nursing home staff isn’t willing to wear masks why should the rest of us?

Yep. There is evidence that it will help keep people from spitting my way, therefore, yes. I wear it and I hope others do as well.

Pretty sure that’s a myth.

I wouldn't use nursing home staff as my benchmark for medically knowledgeable staff. There's some shitty people working in nursing homes. Which is probably why the abuse rate is so high.

I rather roll with my Mom's oncologist.

I really don't get the fixation with the mask part of all this.

If you wan't to talk about the economic effects of the shut-down, I'm in.

If you wan't to address the lack progress on a treatment/vaccine, I'm with you.

If you want to talk about the psychological effects of the doom and gloom media, the coming mental health shite-storm, and the death tracking, I'm down.

The mask part of all this is literally the easiest part.

It's been months how are you still this stupid?

And you realize studies have been showing that asymptomatic people are much less likely to transmit the disease...

ETA: Straight up facts downvoted. You libs have no shame.

I imagine that’s the case in most rural-ish areas.

Pretty much

I heard on Wwl radio this morning that in LA there are 900 people with covid in the hospital compared to NYC, all 5 major boroughs, with less than 400 people taking up hospital beds.

What does this have to do with the fact we flattened the curve, and then the goalposts were moved?

Because their effectiveness is questionable at best. And the way the mandates have been implemented set scary precedents to people that aren't fans of government overreach. I know that doesn't apply to you though

I don’t wear them on purpose. If a place I walk in to insist I do, and I want to go in there, I’ll pull one out and wear it. If it’s a place like a gas station or something and I start getting screamed at about a mask I’ll just leave. This has been my policy throughout the whole ordeal.

Yes, where they are required

Wearing one hasn't prevented me from doing or getting anything that I've needed

Yes, when mandated by law. You need to grow the frick up. I say this as someone who thinks they are stupid and ineffective.

It's almost like NYC already had the largest spike in the entire country at the beginning of this, and now that it has spread throughout the population numbers are way down.
