She could not reach him. When she showed me her phone. There was no telephone number for his contact info. It was only via WiFi calling. All their contact info in neighborhood directory was bogus.
I don’t live in the hood. We have a very nice neighborhood. Quiet and small but nice. I get maybe 4 doorbell rings a year. So it was very odd.

Exactly. With expedited shipping he could have a replacement by next weekend. That assumes he doesn’t file a warranty claim for the defective one which would delay the processing.

Sounds like they don't have a loving marriage. My great-grandma was German, she was extremely cold, calculating, and dry; even to us as kids. Everything is a process.

It’s got to be a two way street, my friend. I think the “shitty neighbor” part is shared by both parties. I don’t think the OP was any more distant than them. I’ve been living in my house for 16 years and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve actually had a half arse conversation with my neighbors across the street. But then again, I like it that way. Much rather them leave me the frick alone.
