The Soviets did not invade Poland until the Germans had already broken the Polish military. It was not a simultaneous attack. However, the terms of the division of Polish territory between them had already been worked out ahead of time.
I don’t think it would have mattered if the attack had been simultaneous. Germany was already seen as the clear and present threat. This was due to a combination of Hitler’s expansionism and residual Allied anger from WWI.

There were a few people who thought Stalin the greater enemy.
Had Germany not done the death camps and purges I think we could have sided with them. But then the cold war would have been against a scarier foe.

What if Germany had not invaded Poland? Hitler got everything he wanted until he did that. He was foolishly overconfident and a warmonger. All he accomplished for Germany was devastation, a loss of half of their territory, and 7 million dead.
Maybe, he should have put some brain power into making Poland an offer they couldn't refuse. Something that would work to the advantage of both.
German industrial and technological strength would have eventually put them on top of the world stage, 2nd only to us. All they needed was a sound long range global business strategy.

What’s going on here? This hypo isn’t alternate history, this is what actually happened. It wasn’t actually simulataneous, USSR attacked a couple weeks later, but it’s not like the result would have been different.
So I guess the US would have done exactly what it did. Stayed tf out until it was drawn in.
