If the Nazis win, we don't find the concentration camps. If word ever does get out, the Nazis blame Stalin for the Holocaust.

We might not have Red China, the Kim regime, the Vietnam War, or the ayatollahs, but we would have plenty of other problems to replace those. We miss out on the post WW2 economic boom since Germany is relatively unscathed and gets to be the country that rebuilds Europe. Eugenics is still socially acceptable. We still have Jim Crow, since we no longer have the optics of black soldiers bleeding and dying overseas for freedom they were denied at home. No Ike or JFK - in the latter case, that means no space race, so we miss out on the technological advances and national pride from beating an ideological enemy to the moon.

Very interesting idea, but carried out poorly. At the end of the first season there was no resolution or even a hint of what was actually going on with the films of "our" reality vs. the alternate history they lived in in which the Nazis and Japs split America in half. Was too bored to watch the second season (unless someone tells me otherwise(.

I guess I was assuming that if he would have been smart enough not to invade Poland he would have been smart enough to leave the Jews alone or at least handle them in a civil way. Back then nobody loved the Jews, not even us. Been a long time since I read period political writings from those days. Seems like I remember seeing the phrase, "The Jewish problem," bandied around. It was kind of weird seeing that kind of thinking when viewed in the 70s and 80s.

Soviets were 16 days after Germany. Poland had already been rolled by the German war machine.

Actually they didn't. Stalin waited two weeks after the German invasion before sending Soviet troops in to fulfill the secret agreement in the non-aggression pact. This allowed Stalin to claim publicly that the Soviets were only acting in their own security interests and thus creating an excuse for the Western allies to treat the Soviet invasion as something different than that of the Germans.

It always amazes me how people actually find ways to support the fricking Nazis
