Hey ford, I have an idea.

How does Sub-Prime Auto Lending, LLC. sound for a business name?

Kid at work just bought a new truck for $70k. $1,300 a month for 72 months is the payments is what he said. Lives in a $50k trailer in Hammond.
It’s real easy to sit here in my 40s and hate on this, but my first car in 1995 was $5,000, and I bought a brand new full-size truck in 2006 for $26k, meaning used trucks were easily available under $20k.
It’s not like that anymore, and it’s not “that kid at work’s” fault.

If they are actually going to keep the truck then there is a lot less shame in that. Not saying it is a solid financial decision, but getting rid of the truck or having to because you abuse it is the real kicker.
That truck SHOULD last 20 years.

They are lining up. Going to ride back to Mexico and Guatemala in style.

By the time it's paid off, they'll be well over $100k. A down payment on a house would've been a wiser decision.

The bad news is that a lot of them that hit the market will be totally clapped out and barely running.
Sooo...... like Fords?

Maybe they should sell their Mexican built F-150's to Mexicans. Americans should buy American made. Buy a used Tundra with the V-8

They just need to lower the prices. A comparable Chevy is 4-5k cheaper

Anyone else read it as "Food Court" ? Like in the mall.
No? Just me?

Sell cheaper vehicles with less electronics. This isn't hard.

Does this mean i can get a Raptor at 0% financing if i have an 800+ score?

Those low credit buyers don’t want no damned $39k truck. It’s gotta be a Platinum or you can keep that shite.
Also - this model is exactly how Nissan ruined its brand. No one in their right mind would buy a Nissan on the used market given the probability that it didn’t have its oil changed until it was traded.

Actually, he just bought a 90k truck. $1300 x 72 =$93,600.00

How about just lowering the selling price to where people can afford them. Sell every F-150 for less than $40,000.
My first truck in high school my sophomore year (97) was a 94 Silverado that cost me just a couple thousand dollars. The start of my senior year, since I had met some marks with grades and life overall, I was able to sell my silverado and get a 98 F-150 4x4 that was one year old and had 12k miles on it… that truck cost $21,000.
