Absolutely. Would be more efficient due to the lack of interruption from incompetence. Everything I do, acct/finance, can be done pretty much during non market hours and not have a material impact on the day to day operations. Doubt my CEO would go for it though. Total comp would be greater than his.

Sounds attractive, but I would probably wind up fired because I am a true "Day Person". If I could function as well as during the day, I would take the night job without question.

Exactly. If I did shift work, then it wouldn't be bad. But I'd never see my kids if I worked nights Mon through Friday.

Not good for your long term health. Maybe for a time just to bank as much as possible.

I think people are undervaluing how much your social life changes completely. I tell women my hours now which aren’t that bad and they immediately react negatively. It’s hard to even schedule dates because you don’t know if you’ll be off work in time to make it to the date

I hated nights. Always felt bad. Had a very irregular heart rhythm that made me feel out of breath all the time. Hated it.

used to work the 2AM-10AM, and later the 4AM-noon shifts. I loved it.

Friend of mine is on 4a - 12p. Would love that. Up early everyday regardless.

You get home at 6:30 and go to bed by 7.
I just dont see how that is possible

One has to decompress. I couldnt possibly fall asleep right now at 5:30pm.....

So realistically, you are goin to be getting home at 6:30 and going to sleep at 10am and waking back up at 6pm or so

Absolutely a no brainer. Sign me up now.

Eta: if for nothing else, I couldnt imagine actually having a fixed 8 hour work day. The very very few times I actually spend less than 8 hours at work it feels like I was there for no time.
