dude you cannot be fricking serious. it's actually insane how completely out of touch with society you are if you don't think you can live comfortably literally anywhere in america on 160k. good lord.

know a Walmart manager that was knocking out $250,000 a year 20 years ago. Most of it in bonus.

I would hope so, you are managing and operating a pretty damn big business.

STFU. You used to work at walmart. You know damn well if you would make $160k a year you would do it.. You could upgrade to a double wide.

Hells to the NO!

I’d think managing a dry cleaners would suck slightly less. People cussing you over their shitty clothes.

If you lived in a place like San Jose with a wife and 2 kids you certainly wouldn't be living the high life. You'd be taking home about 8k per month and you'd be spending half of that on 3 BR apartment before any other expenses.

Granted, you'd probably be better off commuting an hour each way from somewhere cheaper if that was your situation.

not really, not going to starve, but that's not "living comfortably" money in a lot of places in the US

You might have a different view of living comfortably. I didnt even make a 1/4 of that out of college and was just fine. Drove a used jeep and rented a 1 bedroom. The horror!

If it meant the difference between having meals and a roof over me and my kids heads then damn right I would take it.

Exactly what I was thinking. Their quality is great and the owner has turned down multiple offers to take her company public. Sadly, the closest one near me is Dallas.

I would before I’d starve to death or get on government assistance more than 3 months.

Depends on the amount of culture I'd have to deal with.

Try 80 hours a week for an In N Out manager. You end up going in on days off, working well past your shift. It’s not an easy gig and you never get off your feet.
