Would you rather be bitten by 50 fire ants or stung by 5 wasp?

Let's say you are being held hostage by Rebeloke, and he gives you a choice of torture, 50 ant bites or 5 wasp stings (or read his blog)

I got stung 22 times by wasps while working construction in the summer during college. Mostly on my face and arms. It sucked arse

Probably the wasp stings. Haven’t been stung in years but I don’t remember it itching like crazy compared to an ant bite.

I was replacing some hedges at my house a few years back and I guess one had a wasp nest because I got stung through my gloves. My whole hand swole up like crazy after. It hurt much worse than the ant bite, but instead of itching, it's just swollen.

I got about 30-40 fire ant bites while laying in tall grass stealing a sign as part of a HS prank. Almost entirely along my beltline/stomach.

I was working in a storage shed of mine yesterday moving some stuff around. There was a big red wasp in there that I thought of killing earlier but let it go. Anyway, I tossed some clothes over in it's direction, not thinking about it then i look up and the wasp is heading right for me. Before I can react, it hits me square in the lip. I thought I was screwed! It bounced right off of me and flew off...I was like WTF just happened? He could have jacked my lip and face up good but didn't...whew, got away with one there.

Gonna guess here b/c too lazy to research. Might go with Ants. While any insect bites can cause deadly allergic reactions, it's likely that wasp venom is much more likely to produce an allergic reaction. Still...50 freakin' ant seems like a lot.
In the end..it's a question of dose. Ant venom (formic acid) is much different than wasp venom.

That many fire ants would swell my trachea closed. Even with desensitizing shots, that would be a lethal dose of fire ant venom.
