Are we talking $10,000 worth of spins or 10,000 spins? Can I do 10,000 spins on the max betting line of the slot machine or am I limited to a single $1 play each spin?

$10k in a slot machine can easily turn into 100,000 spins if you keep winning. When you stop? After 10,000 spins or after you spend $10k?

But you have to sit at the slot machine and keep hitting the spin button.

Unless you hit a big jackpot early, your time has value. So I'll take the cash and be done with it.

Let's say the average spin is 5 seconds. 10,000 spins would take just under 14 hours. Even if you only win back 60% of your initial $10k, that's an extra $1k over the cash option. That's $72 an hour on the very low end. 99% of people here don't make that. And most slot machines in that range average 95-99% payout, so realistically you're looking at at least triple that hourly figure.

Who says you have to do all of the spins in one sitting? Not like you have to take off from work, you could do it when you're not doing anything anyway.

It does go quick, especially the spins that don't win, but it's possible I underestimated. Double it and I'm not sure it changes the point too much.

The spins would net you a lot of money. You didn’t say $10,000 and you imply both are free. Therefore every spin where you won money you could cash out and keep spinning.

10,000 spins

You’d make $5,000 in free drinks

Give me $10,000 in spins, but I’m putting my rewards player card in first and getting free drinks the whole time.

Hell, Vegas is full of people who do that when it’s their own money.

10,000 spins. Do it in several sessions and get drunk for free. Hell I’d probably drink more than $5k at current prices.

It would take you three full days sitting in front of a slot machine to spin it 10,000 times. And then the casino would make you fill out a tax form when you cashed in your winnings, which would probably cut them down to $6000 with normal odds.

Assuming one of Biden's new IRS agents isn't present, I'm taking the $5000 cash and going out and spending the next three days doing something a lot more enjoyable than staring at a noisy slot machine surrounded by trashy seniors.

Is that 10,000 spins or $10,000 dollars in spins. The max bet on $1 slot could be $3-$5 and the jackpots are paid out on MAX bets.

If you are playing MAX bets that 10,000 spins become 2000 to 3333

Will someone load 10gs in the machine and then I get 10000 spins? Can I cash out whenever I want? No? I'll still take the 10000 spins.

I assume it’s 10,000 free spins where all winnings add up. You’d end up with a lot more than 5k

Even if the expected return was pretty even (55-60%) I’d take the spins. That sounds fun as hell.

Depends on the casino of choice and max bet of 3 coins so $3 dollars a spin, that one credit a spin won’t get you in the Top Dollar or Pinball bonus…

If it is a Louisiana casino, I am taking the cash.

If it is a Mississippi casino, I would do the spins.

In my 15 years of gambling, I have yet to get a hand pay in Louisiana. The closest I got was winning 2,500 in free play at the Treasure Chest several years ago, but lost on most of it.

In Mississippi, I got 2 hand pays in July. Both were on penny machines. One was a 3,600 jackpot on a penny machine betting 88 cents. Another jackpot was for 1850 betting 1.50 on a penny machine. I also hit a few grand with some wins under 1,200 dollars that were tax free.

Federal taxes will be exciting in the spring with that extra income. And I cannot itemize the losses since it would not pay for me to itemize, especially with new IRS agents looking for new revenue.

I don't play the slots but in answer to your question, I would play the slots. The odds are in favor of the house but not by that much.
