Seems to be the only metro area in LA that’s growing. Almost guaranteed increase in property value over time.

Seems kinda trashy though.

It's not bad, just depends on what you value. Good golf, great outdoors and pretty good entertainment for a city this size.

I can’t say i wouldn’t. Never spent much time in it.

Seems cool though

I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

Disagree, a lot of those jobs are temporary construction jobs. I could see a large real estate correction in 5 or so years when some of those projects are finishing up.

Before he retired, my dad lived there for 3 years right when all of the lng boom was starting. He liked it ok.

My dad hates big cities too and LC was borderline too big for him

Spent a couple of recent years there.

I liked it. There’s a lot of ugly women, though

Grew up there and it was great.

Don’t judge it by what you see driving by on I10

It has some great neighborhoods both on the lake and in South LC.

Gulf is 30 minutes away and plenty of nature trails and stuff to do outdoors. The food scene is coming along too

You can pick much worse places in LA

Lived there growing up and enjoyed it. I own 5 acres of land SE of town. The property value has really gone up in the past 5+ years. I'll be in LC this weekend in fact.

Unfortunately the quality of their po-boys has gone down since the old man passed away. I remember watching LSU baseball in their restaurant when they were still at the original Ryan Street location.

This place was amazing as a kid.

I graduated from Barbe, and haven't lived in LC since high school. I still enjoy visiting and hitting the drive-thru daquiri place on Hwy 14. I would move to South Lake Charles, but that's about the only area I would live.
