Lived here for the past 41 years after moving from Shreveport. Great place to raise a family and plenty of activities for young and old. If you're a hunter or fisherman you can't go wrong. Only negative is the bridge construction and that will be finished in January.

This place was amazing as a kid.
I had a cousin that played in a band there (Dude was 7 or 8 and could play almost any instrument ) so we went a lot.
Still haven't found a cheese pizza as good as theirs.

Went to Barbe as well. I forgot about the Daquiri factory drive through. Other states don’t know what they are missing. Sorta

Is Shakeys where you watched them make it?
Forgot about that
Also, what about Mr Ds On The Bayou, Cottons, Wagon Wheel BBQ, Peppers

No but I’d live in somewhere like Ruston or Natchitoches

Peppers was fun and loved the cheap margaritas. But, in hindsight it was the worst Mexican food ever. God awful.
Cottons onion rings were the best
Tony’s was my favorite pizza and oven baked sub.

I have lived there a very long time.
Daddy, why is our address flawed because we live north of Broad?
Goosport kids had older brothers for leverage, quarts of Jax for a beverage.
Shell Beach Drive afforded the lakefront view to a chosen few. Still true.

Yes it was. I remember watching them make the pizza as a kid. Great place but obviously a bad business model. Nostalgia does not pay the rent.

Moved away for about 10 years but moved back when I got married. Love raising the family here but not sure how much I would have liked it as a late-20s/early 30s single guy.

Got an update the other day. They expect to be finished by the end of November
