My grandparents were good friends with the owner, Gino. I have both an aunt and uncle who worked there when they were in college.

That’s one I haven’t heard in a while. Not LC but been in Sulphur all my life outside of stints in Ruston for college and Lafayette for first job after college.

Fun fact: Chula Vista in Sulphur was Donald Link’s first restaurant job.

Miss Kitties and Cowboys did. Darrell’s was on Ryan street back then.

Much more than that. You don’t hunt or fish?

Saw Asleep at the Wheel at the Still, circa 1975/76?
That place was a great honky tonk.

Do you go to the beach in lake Charles, frick no! Big lake is an hour and 15 minutes from my house . Don’t have to live in that shithole to hunt and fish.

That’s about right. I was passing through LC and stopped to see a friend and somehow, someway we ended up in that place. It was a good time and a lot of beer was consumed that night.

Delta Xi, haven’t been to LC in a long time but it looks like it has changed for the better. Always try to plan my trip to Houston around picking up a sandwich from Darrell’s.

Man I drove down that road last month and I was really surprised how small the building is where Miss Kitties was. That was a great place in it's prime and Mrs Kitty was always at the door greeting everyone and letting underage deliquents like myself through the door.

How many of you had a late night bloody Mary with sausage and crackers at John's barn while trying to play pool on that crooked arse pool table?
