Some cities charge you $.10 for a bag (don't worry, Louisiana will never get there) to try and cut down on plastic, or to bring their own reusable bags.

So, you still want that bag if it's gonna cost you?

Environmental activism not laziness.

Environmentalists pushing to do away with plastic bags due to littering. 1st it was plastic instead of paper to save the trees, now it's reusable burlap to save the oceans. What's next, carry each item individually no bags nor boxes?

The other day I had two small items at the grocery store. The dude just scanned both items and placed them on the counter, not asking if I wanted a bag or not and acting like it was completely normal for him to do that. It irritated me more than it should have. I would have appreciated being asked if that was ok.

Damn you must have a family of 25 if you're buying 500 items in one go.

If you don't mind paying for it, that is your choice to make.

You could try and pick up the habit of bringing your own reusable bags. But, that is probably too forward thinking.

Silly me.

I'm the exact opposite. If I only get one or two things, I don't want a bag and get irritated when they still bag it. If I'm there for a lot of things, I bring my own bags.

We had milk bags in middle school. Always used to call them breast implants. Every other school was cartons.

Know how I know this didn't happen at Walmart? Because at Walmart, each small item would have been placed in a separate bag.

Yep, you are correct. I didn't go to school in LA.

I know back in the day they had the machines with the bags, but never seen that before.

No, why waste a bag?

Many times milk sits in spilled milk so yes definitely a bag. Milk in the trucks leaking, in the coolers in the crates and on the shelves.
