Easiest $500 I'd ever make.

But I'm a man and not a babyback bitch like half of the snake killing pussies around here.

It amazes me how many people are afraid of snakes. I started catching them when I was around 5 or 6 years old. Handled venomous as well (though not at 5 or 6 years old).

...now if this thread was about roaches, you'd have a legit point. Frick a roach.

I think I've watched enough 90's Discovery Channel and Animal Planet reptile shows to know how to handle one properly.
it's hard to believe those channels weren't always complete shite

I worked at the zoo as a kid and had a king snake for a few months until I got tired of him biting me. So yeah if hold a non venomous snake or any other non vebomous reptile just for the hell of it.

I already did. Twice in fact. One was all day long at a Scout Jamboree....Red tailed boa.

2nd time was for a guy who was joining the USMC when my dad was a recruiter. Snake's name was Zach.

Now...where's my money?

Done it by accident.
Grabbed some lumber working on a boat dock and picked up a 4ft water snake.

I'd request tape around my wrists to where it couldn't get through that, but yeah.

For posterity, the original title was

Would you hold a non-venomous snake for money?

This was followed by

Hold this Northern water snake for 1 minute for $500. Let's say 3-4ft long.

A non-venomous snake? I'd do it for $5 just because there is really no risk involved and $5 a min is pretty good. For $500? Any minute of the day. I've held non-venomous snakes before so it doesn't really bother me. I held one a few weeks ago, had a grass snake in the back yard.
