I fish in Alsaka every year for Salmon and can taste the difference between wild caught and farm raised. I bet it tastes like crap.

No, but I don't eat salmon period. Just don't care for the taste and texture.

Hell yeah. The future of lab grown meat is intruiging. Theoretically you could grow perfectly marbled steaks without the need to raise and slaughter cattle.

I think the Aggies "grew" a brisket in a lab a couple years ago.

ETA: My bad, it was the other bunch of Texans.

‘The future of barbecue meats’: Austin-based BioBQ works towards lab-cultured meat

I do believe that A&M is researching it as well with its Meat Sciences (no gay pun intended) department.

With cancer rates being at an all-time high and a lot of scrutiny on processed foods, how can anybody who gives a shite about their own personal health get excited about this?

Imitation crab meat has been around forever and so many dodgy sushi bars cram logs of this nasty shite into their rolls, and people just shovel it into their mouth

I do not eat Atlantic salmon today.

Alaskan is my go to, wild and tasty.

Maybe eventually, but I wouldn’t be an early adopter.

Leave it up to California to be on the cutting edge of insanity.

If you want salmon WTF would you eat fake salmon?

I makes no sense. Like the dumb arse vegan zombies who wont eat meat but want some fake meat flavored vegetable concoction that resembles chicken or steak. First of all, it doesn't, second if you're craving chicken, steak or a hamburger you can readily find those things to eat.
