It's a practical and extremely reliable vehicle for people that use their trucks to move household crap around, tow a small boat or RV, drive through minor off road obstacles, and tail gate at sporting events. The Ridgeline is awesome for those 4 things.

In other words, it will meet or exceed the vehicle requirements for most of the OT if we are being honest with ourselves.

You can't tailgate with a side opening tailgate and that is a scientific fact.

The Ridgeline is a mini-van with a bed. IMO, it's not a truck without body-on-frame construction.

This is The OT. We don't do small boats here.

It's apparently double hinged - and does fold down like a normal tailgate.

I'd slap some truck nuts on and go welding in that thing

Tailgate opens both to the side and standard tailgate opening. Also, it has a trunk under the bed that you can put your cooler in.

I don't think they let welders drive Ridgelines. This is your ride:

Don't forget to keep the boots sandwiched between the cab and the bed. And never wash it.

No way.

I watched a comparison video that pitted a Ridgeline, Tacoma,Frontier & Colorado against it other. They did some very light off road stuff and they had to pull the Ridgeline due to it over heating.

The Ridgeline isn't really a truck, but I guess it would be a fine grocery grabber.

They are fantastic vehicles, and if I did not need the room for two kayaks, I would probably have one instead of my 1/2 ton. The boat I tow is under 19'.

A Silverado half ton is a chick car in Houston. You need a 2500HD minimum to qualify as a bawcountant instead of just an "accountant".

Fun fact. The 1985 Chevrolet Impala is rated to tow 2,000 lbs more than the Honda Ridgeline.

I only know one person who has a Ridgeline. He uses it to pull a very small travel camper and to grab plants from the local garden store. They are in their 60's and avid gardeners. Serves his purposes just fine.
